Buffalo, NY (WBEN) -- The Erie County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding a missing man from Wales.
Matthew Watson, 22, was last seen at about 2:30 on the afternoon of July 8. His family reported him missing on Monday, July 19.
Watson is described as a white male, approximately 6'2", weighing about 160 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair. At the time he disappeared, he was wearing a white tee-shirt, black shorts, and may have had no shoes on.
According to Lt. Scott Joslyn, Watson frequently went for hikes in the woods, and it's possible that that's exactly where he is.
"He is believed to still be in the area, on foot," Joslyn explains. "We don't know if it's simply a case of, maybe, [him] walking out in the woods... maybe he became disoriented and lost his way... he could've fallen and hurt himself in the woods. At this point, we're just not sure."
Anyone with information on Watson's whereabouts should call the Sheriff's Office at 858-2309, or simply dial 911.
