It's amazing they found the rug, and even more amazing they found evidence still in the rug.

I would withhold judgement on this. The chain of evidence is kind of shaky. I'm not buying this just yet

Holy Cow, I used to live about a block away from where the lady found that rug. Creepy.

Maybe before the Peterson case, the prosecutors wouldn't even have attempted to try this person for murder. I think that its good that they're at least giving it a try! Too many times, they have a suspect that they let go because the DA won't attempt to prosecute them.

CA - Jeanine Sanchez Harms, 42, Los Gatos, 27 July 2001

    Updated: 07/25/2010 09:06:15 PM PDT

    snipped:

...Police said she was murdered and buried somewhere, but few clues were left behind to guide them. No body. No blood. No DNA linked to either man she saw that night.

Now, nine years later, dozens of lives remain on hold or forever altered by what happened that night, July 27, 2001. Her parents, Jess and Georgette Sanchez of Campbell, think of her every day and dream of the day they can bring her home, dead or alive. Her family and friends shed anniversary tears on her birthday, her favorite holidays, on that dreaded day when she vanished from their lives...

    Case affidavit naming Maurice Nasmeh

    From first link:

Nasmeh was arrested in December 2004. During his preliminary hearing, however, it was revealed that the technician who tested the fibers had failed proficiency tests in fiber analysis.

Charges against Nasmeh were dismissed in June 2007. At a news conference, he accused police of wrongly identifying him as a suspect and then working to make the evidence fit.
Prayers for Jeanine's family, they still think of her day and night and long for her return.

ETA: Private member (Parking Lot) thread with 5 or so posts discussing Jeanine's case.

Maurice Nasmeh, suspect in the disappearance of Jeanine Harms in 2001, was killed by Harms' brother on Saturday. The brother, Wayne Sanchez, also took his own life.

Woman's Clothes, Hair Found in Maurice Nasmeh's Home
The family found the items while cleaning out house following his death.

There is a new and bizarre twist in the Jeanine Harms' missing person case out of the South Bay.

Although presumed dead, Harms' body has never been found since her disappearance nearly a decade ago. The prime suspect was shot and killed earlier this year by Harms' brother who turned the gun on himself minutes later.

The San Jose Mercury News is reporting that the family of now deceased Maurice Nasmeh has turned over several items to Los Gatos police that may be connected to the case. The items included female clothes and shoes, and a lock of human hair found in the suspect home.

What we are doing is just a drop in the ocean.
But if that drop was not in the ocean,
I think the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.
