    GREAT NEWS!

I am THRILLED to learn someone actually stepped up and did something! THRILLED! BRAVO!

That woman needs to be honored and celebrated! I want to see her on Oprah. I want her to talk and inspire even one other person to do the same, or pick up the phone and report if they even suspect child abuse, or someone is being held against their will.

She probably got away just in time. Apparently he was taking her out in the woods when he stopped for gas. She was probably 10 minutes away from dying.

God bless those hero's and the victim. Every one of them had the courage that I could only HOPE to have if faced with that situation.

That was WAY too close! It's awful enough that he kidnapped and raped her, but he was also probably on his way to killing her!!

Great job to that attendant! I haven't seen an attended gas station in many years...I'm glad he was both lazy and stupid enough to find one. lol

This is a law in Oregon. You can not pump your own fuel in that state. And this case proves it is a good thing.

We've lived in Oregon for 17 years, in Ashland, the first town you come to when you leave California. So many people have to be politely asked to get back into their cars as you're not even supposed to stand next to the pumps. You really take it for granted after a while, especially when the weather is bad.

I can't tell you how many times we've spaced it going back into California, stopping to get gas, and just sitting there. We always feel so DUMB. You just kind of get out of your car and mumble "Oregon" and most people understand.

This is a great story. Those women are surely heros. The victim, too, was a fighter. Has anyone else noticed any similarities to our scary Winklebleck? I check every morning and haven't seen any news at all.

I think this case proves it is a good thing that there aren't self-serve gas stations in Oregon! Thank goodness the attendant acted on her instinct and wasn't harmed herself. True heroes!!
