Watching Nessa is one of the scariest things I've experienced in my life. She is completely sociopathic and would kill again at the drop of a hat.
So powerful. Too bad the jurors could not have heard this from Gary prior to the verdict. You can hear a pin drop in that courtroom.............
Gary - "you and the animals u ran w/ changed lot of people 4ever. For me personally u took my baby"
"Move the chair and run, fool" Gary says of Vanessa's claim door jammed by chair
Gary says paraphrasing.......Were you jealous? Did you take it out on her? I think you did.
"my biggest question to you is did jealousy send yo over the line. did you retliate. did you pay her back? I think you did."
"I heard her cries, my son heard her cries and my wife heard her cries. we hared them in our heart just as much as you heard her in your ears."
I can't understand why my God allowed her to die like she did. It is beyond me. And you were there and you heard her cries. You didn't help. You participated. You weren't ther a captive. Youw ere there because you were having fun. A big adventure.
"May God give the strength to this judge to give you what you deserve."
Gary - "you were jealous and u retaliated" a/f Cobbins raped Channon
All that beautifully poignant pain but Gary still ends it w/ that creepy vengeance "Shepherd's prayer"
I want to hear VC beg for the judge's mercy and have him smack her down the max allowed.
Wish I could hear the judge better...............
OMG the judge is referring to VC as Ms. Christian!
Crap I have a lunch date. I wanted to hear the judge's tone while doing the sentencing.
Now the more mundane. Judge B merges various counts, goes over sentencing factors at issue
How it works: Judge has 2 decide if there is cause under law to go w/ max and stack. Law defines those factors
He also has 2 consider if there is cause to go easy or "mitigate" based on factors also defined under law
Leland Price arguing for maximum and consecutive sentences.
State cites factors of cruelty, especially heinous, dangerous offender, no hesitation when risk high
Prosecutor Price - jury found Coleman "provided substantial assistance" via facilitation verdict, not bystander
Price also says her admitted drug use negates claim she has no criminal history
IIRC, the probation department interviewed Nessa who admitted to half dozen MJ cigs and 14 grams of cocaine a day.
Here comes Lavit and the yelling.
It took him about six words before he started yelling.
Price - Vanessa knew the guys were headed out to commit some kind of crime, saw Davidson's violence b/4, stayed
Price - Vanessa no babe. "Behavior indicates she was very sophisticated," went after what she wanted
Lavit.....poor Nessa, Poor poor Nessa, This little girl....blah blah blah.
Is it just me or does he appear to have to read Channon and Chris's names from his notes everytime he states their names. What????? He doesn't know their names by now?
Interesting noises from the cameraman.
Wrong Mr. Lavit! Vanessa was not forced to stay against her will! It was all an adventure for her and the proof is in her own words!
I think Gary has his ears plugged. Can't say I blame him.
