Just saw a new case file entered into Namus this month. The report discusses a partial skull located off a logging road in Nevada County in 1993. The pair of these (the missing person and the unidentified remains) are incomparable (due to a lack of dentals by one and a lack of DNA to another), but the circumstances are quite suggestive.

Hopefully the DNA tests are successful and completed soon. I doubt there are many skulls lying around in Grass Valley, or missing persons for that matter. It's a city of ~13,000, and from what I can find, is mostly a tourist destination. That doesn't seem like an area with lots of murders ans UIDs lying around. Very good find Tuck.

Bumping for Terry - this summer will be 40 years.

I live in Nevada County, and unfortunately back in the 80s, people did disappear if they traveled in the wrong parts of people's property. There have been a few skulls and skeletons found in lakes. I will see what I can find out.
