The body of a young woman, found left for dead, on the side of a rural Charleston County road. The body was found along Old Jacksonboro road by some workers, around 7:30 Monday morning.

We're told she had no ID and at this point officials don't know if she was killed along the road, or perhaps just dumped in that location.

"The body is just off the side of the road, appears to be a white female."

"Investigators say the victim was in her late teens to early twenties, but given the early stages of the investigation they would not elaborate on the condition of the body when it was found."

this has been a topic of discussion on Brittanee Drexel's thread. Here's a link.

If you go back several pages, you will learn other stories of missing/murdered white women in the area and a burned out van in one case. Also, the perp in the most recent abduction attempt in MB where a blue van was involved, has a brother who was charged and released for lack of evidence in another murdered woman's case. There were others implicated also.

I am so glad that you started a thread on this fhc. There are several missing/ murdered caucasian women from Charleston County, Georgetown county, and Horry County (Myrtle Beach) that go back for over ten years, IIRC. This is too obvious to ignore and I am glad some awareness is being brought to these cases.

I wish I had time to provide links to the other cases today but unfortunately I don't. But they are there on Britt's thread and I will try and provide when time allows. I am thinking a 'whole can o worms is about to crawl out of the can' but that's JMO.

All MOO

Well I would assume the brand new van is prob. connected. LE should be able to go to track the sale of the van fairly quickly to find out more about it .....

Thank you, found this case

SC authorities seek ties in missing woman cases

Is this the correct reference? Are these also related to the women found dead off the same bridge/waterway? iirc

Yes , that's it fhc. I have added more links below..

This link is an interview with the Taylor gang's mom. Another man named Harry River's was involved in the 1998 case where charges were dropped for lack of evidence. He is currently in jail in GT county on rape charges from back in May. HR also lived near Brandy Hanna.

There are just too many missing & murdered women from areas around the US 17 corridor for MB to Charleston.....Shannon, Brandy, Crystal Soles, Britt Drexel (her last cell ping was from the GT Charleston county line area) and now this unidentified young woman. Sorry so many links but I went through the thread trying to find them all.

Hope this helps and all MOO.

This one hits a little too close to home.

It is also why when I leave to take someone far away (more than an hour) I carry a gun.

Poor girl. Prayers to her family and for justice.

I'm really tired, but I really need to start a thread for Amy Caroline Frink

http://www.starnewsonline.com/article/20080728/ARTICLES/807280329?p=3&tc=pg

I met what would have been her brother in law in an airport bar in Miami.

She was found just across the line in SC, but from what he told me, the suspects had links to MB.

I will look more in to it all tomorrow and start a thread (and post the link here).

Even sadder, she was a mother to twin boys :(

Missing Bluffton Women Found Dead on Rural Dirt Road

The body of 27-year-old Alexis Lukaitis of Bluffton has been found along a dirt road near Ravenel after she was reported missing Monday night during a trip to Charleston. Making matters more curious her car has been found in Beaufort County.

http://charleston.thedigitel.com/crime/missing-bluffton-woman-found-dead-rural-dirt-road-23046-0811

This is my first try starting a thread; this women's story deserves more attention. Thanks fellow WSers.

I hope there are some forensics on her body, as this surely does not sound like a case where this is the murderer's first time committing such a crime.

I wonder how she even encountered whoever killed her. Sounds like she was just going about her day as planned until she was suddenly out of contact with her loved ones. How sad and terrifying.
