In a statement, Sgt. Scott Dudek said the person could be John Brown or Thomas Brown, a transient who had been living in the Dublin Canyon Road area.

A coroner called to the scene confirmed that the bones were in fact human and probably those of a male. Deputies found other bones scattered nearby, as well as pieces of clothing.
While investigators believe that the remains are of Brown, they are also trying to find family members to confirm the identity through DNA or dental records.
Anyone with information can contact 510-667-3636.

He was known as Blanket John or Plastic John because people always found him covered with those items. He was last seen six to ten years ago. Brown would have been 66-years-old today.

Brown was originally from Pennsylvania and may have been in military service. Dudek stated that Brown used to be a knife sharpener in the area.

He is not in Namus or DN.

There have been two homeless men found deceased in Pleasanton during 2011. Both of them were identified. I haven't found that this man has been identified though.
