Human remains recovered in a fishing net 18 miles off the coast Sunday have been tentatively identified as those of David Burns Morgan, who was lost at sea in March 2009.
”I'm 99 percent sure it's him,” said Humboldt County Deputy Coroner Roy Horton.
At about 5 p.m. Sunday, the Sea Princess, a 40-footplus drag fishing vessel, brought up its nets to find skeletal human remains, missing the skull, in a pair of orange foul-weather overalls.

Wow the odds would be a million to one that David's body would ever be recovered after being lost overboard 18 miles from shore. I'm sure the Captain and crew were devastated they could not rescue him.
Yes Kat prayers for his wife, sons, daughter and shipmates.

In August 2010, a fishing vessel caught his skeletal remains in their net, minus the skull. Morgan's family identified the clothing and personal items with the bones and DNA testing is expected to confirm the identification.
