PA - Fugitive in '08 Child Porn Case In Custody

"5 year old Girl Raped By Daddy" "Japanese Lolitas" "Sex Crime Brazil Kids"

Those were some of the vile video file names found on the computer of a Montgomery County man two years ago. There were some way worse which couldn't even be printed in the newspaper.

Charles Lefebvre was busted when US Immigration and Custom Agents found his child pornography during their investigation of "Illegal CP" a Web Site which provided child pornography to paid subscribers.

Out on bail Lefebvre withdrew $34,000 from two bank accounts and an additional $10,000 to pay his criminal defense lawyer. Then he fled to Guatemala. Last month ICE found the 27 year old living on a large Honduran island. He's in custody and awaiting extradition back here to Montco.

How does a 27 year old have all that loot to access?

Wonder if he was selling child porn? I have no idea what kind of money can be made at that. It's mostly trading though isn't it? I wonder if he was just a subscriber to Illegal CP, or if he was an owner or whatever you would call it?

I don't know Belinda. This guy lived in Montgomery County. Abington, Orleland, Jenkintown. I can't find anything on him at all. Usually you can find people through what school they went to.

I'd say he's from wealth, but then again probably not because the listings he does show up for aren't big money areas really. Then again who knows?

At least they found him. The really frightening and sad part is if he was in Honduras Lord only knows what he was doing. Yet another poor country where children could easily become victim to somebody like this.

Sheesh it makes me all too sad. Sad and angry.

A Fedral Judge decided very wisely to keep this guy locked up until trial.

He was found on the island of Roatan living in a common law marraige and working as a waiter. Oh yeah and he was using an alias.

Vile man plead guilty to all charges.

This guy is facing 10 years the maximum? He fled. Can't we give him an automatic 10 years for victims that he no doubt had in Honduras?

That is SO not right! Even fleeing a state, let alone the country, normally carries a really stiff penalty - let alone his original crimes. Ten years doesn't come close to what he should serve!

".....Lefebvre’s collection of child pornography included images of children of all ages, from infants to teenagers, and included images of a sadistic and violent nature, such as bondage and bestiality, the release states.

Approximately 166 of the video files found on the Lefebvre’s computer equipment depict children whose identities are known and whose ages have been verified, according to the U.S. attorney. Lefebvre had told agents his primary interest was in girls approximately age 10, although he collected pornographic images of children of all ages..."

Oh, how I wish we could get an official answer as to what is being done for the victims who are identified. What sorts of services are offered and what timeframe is allowed? Victims of this crime suffer for a lifetime and most victims' services are only available for a short period of time.

Ttrauma assessment, a form of triage, is completed and a certain number of hours of therapy permitted. Sadly, appropriate therapy is not commonly available for children or adults (who were abused as children) who have various challenges--ID, sensory deficits, mental illness and spectrum disorder--to name just a few. Ironically these children are at an exponentially far higher risk of being abused in the first place as they are more vulnerable.

We cannot let our children down. Catching the perp is just the first step. Children who have unresolved pain often turn that pain into hurting others or themselves. The numbers of those incarcerated who have suffered childhood sexual abuse is staggering. When a child is hurt and that hurting child grows into an angry adult, we often all suffer.
