Respectfully snipped for copyright ~ A three-month-old baby girl is now out of a coma after a San Antonio man admitted to shaking the infant, police said.

The 21-year-old suspect has admitted to having an anger-management problem.

Police arrested Bobby Fernandez just days after an infant in his care was rushed to University Hospital.

Thank Goodness!!! Now, can shake him!!:furious:

I just heard about this on the radio. I am wondering if the baby is ok, or is suffering from brain damage, or if its just too soon to tell. So, so sad. I'm also wondering what is relationship is to the baby.

When will women stop leaving defenseless babies and children with men who have NO clue how to care for them and even if they know how, don't want to.

September 2011:

Still angry that his high school girlfriend of two years had gotten pregnant by another man, Bobby Fernandez repeatedly slammed 3-month-old Emerald Rodriguez against a bed while he was baby-sitting, he admitted to police last year.

On Friday, just before prosecutors were set to announce whether they would seek the death penalty for capital murder, Fernandez opted to take a life sentence in exchange for a reduced charge of felony murder.

Fernandez, 22, will have to serve at least 30 years before he can apply for parole...

[The mother] later told police that Fernandez had been abusive to her, too, assaulting her one time while she was holding the baby...

But breaking down in tears, he eventually told investigators he “threw the baby down real hard” several times, angry that she wasn't his. If she had been his child, he said, he wouldn't have hurt her.
