I started this thread here because I wanted these two women to be included in the intimate domestic partner homicide part of the board. I know there are several other places where Kathleen and Stacy have threads. Mods, please move if this isn't cool, I'll understand. :( LOL

Isn't it already a law or a 'given' that if a cop has a domestic violence charge against him, his gun is taken away? If so, is it just his service revolver or all his guns, cos most cops have more than one gun. And, when is the gun or guns returned to him? TIA

Fellow posters, are you at least going to Susans blog and emailing the Bollingbrook police dept and letting them know we are pizzed about Drew Peterson and want him held accountable for the disappearance/ murder of Stacy as well, and let them know they eyes of the nation are on what they are doing with Drew? It only takes 5 minutes to write the email. A flood of emails would let them know there are people out there that are seriously watching Drew, don't let him out of jail, make him pay for what he did to these 2 women.
Please lets flood them with our emails!!! All the posters we have here, if even half of us wrote an email it would be stupendous. Don't we care about these 2 women?
Every woman who has ever been in an abusive relationship should feel a kinship w/ these women and thank God this didn't happen to YOU. Its not just stupid, unaware women who make bad choices that find themselves involved with abusive partners, its anybody. We all need to care about this, IMO.

Please take a moment and comment on the blog this is an interesting insight into the Peterson case.

I did this.
Actually if the hearsay law would of come into the OJ trial.
Nicole's journal would of put him away for the brutal savage murders of
her and Ron Goldman!
To many women are NEVER heard from their journals.
I once was in a VERY bad domestic abuse marriage some 20 years ago.
I wrote a journal and thank GOD I got out but the hearsay law is great!!!

All perps are on the same level of evil, but Drew is so OPEN with letting us see the evil in the heart. The thing is that he doesn't even realize how evil he looks and sounds, which amazes me to no end. It also amazes me that he was in law enforcement for so long.

Exclusive: Kathleen Savio's Fight for Justice

<div>
The conversation regarding the abuse <a href="http://www.petersonstory.wordpress.com/">Kathleen Savio </a>suffered at the hands of Drew Peterson should have begun in 1993 when she was treated at an Illinois hospital for the deep gash she received on her head by her then police officer husband. But it not.</div>

<div>
</div>
<div>
From 1993 thru 2002 we will never know for certain how often Kathleen Savio placed calls for assistance to either 911 or the Bolingbrook police department where her then husband was employed because she was being stalked and beaten. Every move she made was tracked by either Peterson or his buddy Richard Mimms. Believing she had an avenue for assistance</div>

<div>
Kathleen Savio found herself on the steps of the Will County courthouse. Once inside the safety of the metal detectors Kathleen headed up the elevator to meet with the State's Attorney. As a follow up to her conversations, she documented and prepared letters, pleading for help. Here also, no one will ever know how many times she dialed that office because they is no record. Those letters would surface after she was found dead in 2004, but they were useless. As evidenced during the coroner's inquest to determine her cause of death, changing the death certificate from accidental to homicide. But they did not happen.</div>

<div>
And it was not likely the truth would ever be told, until 2007 when <a href="http://www.whereisstacy.com/">Stacy Peterson, </a>the current wife would be reported missing by her sister Cassandra Cales.</div>

<div>
</div>
<div>
Yesterday, on Intimate Partner Homicide, hosted by Sheryl McCollum, Holly Hughes and Susan Murphy Milano, in an exclusive interview with Kathleen's sister Sue Domain, provided a glimpse into this woman's life and nightmare of abuse, stalking and violence. </div>
<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>
<div>
Why didn't anyone listen? Why was her death never investigated properly? And why did it take another woman to go missing before anyone would believe Kathleen's accusations of abuse? This is perhaps one of the best documented cases of abuse and murder where a victim has been silenced by a justice system created to serve and protect. Instead they all stood silent, carrying her body to the grave site. </div>

Drew Peterson's Lawyer Asks Federal Court to Let Accused Killer Out of Jail

NOVEMBER 29, 2010

"CHICAGO – Attorneys for accused wife-killer Drew Peterson filed an appeal in federal court in hopes of having the disgraced former cop sprung from jail while he awaits trial. Joseph "Shark" Lopez, one of the five lawyers defending Peterson against charges he murdered his third wife, Kathleen Savio, said he filed the appeal today."

Drew Peterson's son Thomas takes a stand

" Sneed has learned Thomas Peterson, son of accused wife-murderer Drew Peterson &#8212; and of Kathleen Savio, the woman Peterson is accused of killing &#8212; is taking a legal stand in defense of his father.

In an impassioned letter sent to Sneed, Thomas Peterson wrote:

&#8220;My name is Thomas Peterson and I am now 18 years old, I am an adult, I can now make my own decisions, and nobody has the right to speak for me anymore.&#8221;

&#8224; Translation: Now that he is no longer a minor, Thomas, an honor student at Bolingbrook High School, has signed a document releasing his father from all financial claims arising from the death of his mother: specifically the wrongful death suit filed on his behalf by his aunt and grandfather."

Peterson’s hearsay appeal set for Feb. 16

--snipped--

"OTTAWA — An appeal of hearsay evidence rulings in the Drew Peterson murder case will be before the Illinois Appellate Court on Feb. 16.

Oral arguments will begin at 1:15 p.m., said Gist Fleshman, clerk of the Third District Appellate Court in Ottawa.

A request by a Chicago TV station to film the proceedings is pending before the court as well, Gist said.

After oral arguments are presented, it could take the judges one to six months — or longer — to make a ruling.

... Third appeal

"This is the third appeal involving Peterson’s troubles with the law. The first two involved a gun charge and a request to re-open his third wife’s estate, Fleshman said.

The latest appeal involves hearsay evidence prosecutors want to present in Peterson’s murder trial.

In July, Will County State’s Attorney Jim Glasgow appealed a pre-trial ruling by former Will County Chief Judge Stephen White who excluded some hearsay evidence as inadmissible.

"....Peterson, a former Bolingbrook police officer, was charged in May 2009 with drowning his third wife, Kathleen Savio, in 2004. The case has drawn national media attention.

Peterson’s fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, disappeared in October 2007. After she disappeared, authorities reviewed Savio’s death and reversed the cause of death from accidental to homicide."

Tom Peterson still named in wrongful death suit
via The Shorewood Patch

--snipped--

"The lawyer for the family of Drew Peterson's slain third wife likes his chances in the civil suit against the disgraced former Bolingbrook cop.

"We're pretty confident our breach of fiduciary duty count will now stand," said Arlington Heights Attorney Martin Glink following a brief appearance Thursday at the Joliet courthouse annex.

Not only that, but Glink says Peterson's third oldest son, Thomas Peterson, who turned 18 on Jan. 5, is still a part of the case. This despite a letter Thomas supposedly wrote claiming he wants out.

"I question seriously if that was due to some undue influence, unfortunately," Glink said of the letter Thomas supposedly wrote releasing his father from any financial responsibility resulting from the lawsuit brought by his mother's family.

"He might think that was his idea but that seems to be part of Mr. Peterson's repertoire," Glink said, echoing allegations made by prosecutors that Peterson is a master manipulator who, among others, pulled the strings of his much younger fourth wife, Stacy, a woman 30 years his junior."

I totally agree with you laytonian!

Having been married to a man/cop much like Drew Petersen, I would bet my life on the facts...

1. the "Blue Barrel" is a diversion. Drew DID NOT have anyone help him with anything..he did it all by his lonesome. If my ex said it once, he said it 1000 times...if you ever kill anyone...do it ALONE and tell NO ONE. Then the only person that truly knows is YOU. NO ONE can EVER roll on you or rat you out.

2. The diversion created by the Blue Barrel took cops far away from where he actually buried Stacy. Cops were so intent on the barrel that they completely overlooked possible other clues.

3. He buried her deep. Maybe in a mine, maybe by or near a graveyard, or in something that was going to be covered with cement. I don't think he would chance a construction site tho, to many possibilities that something could happen where she would be found before cement was poured.

I also think he killed more than the ex and her. If Stacy is buried, I think she is buried near another body that has never been found. This guy didn't start with his ex...he' s a sociopath and I am convinced he killed before. Would be interesting to do a timeline / history for him and cross check with missing women in the area he was..particularly prostitutes or young women that have come up missing.

Plus, you have to figure in exactly how hard did the cops actually work once they found he was one of their own. I know there are good cops out there of course, but even the good ones have a difficult time taking a stand against the Blue Wall.

Initially I was very intrigued by the barrel story because of crimes where acid has been used to destroy human remains, I could think of scenarios where the barrel made sense.

However, with time, and reflection upon the Salvo case; if he's "growing" as a killer, he would definitely adopt the stance you describe. Don't let there ever be a body to find or evidence to speculate, or witnesses to interview.

The old adage "two people can only keep a secret if one of them is dead" (meaning there's no point in ever having a second person know *anything*)...

He can't be a cop and not think of analytical angles to the "perfect crime" as a detective I should think he's been taught in adversarial strategies. I just wanted that barrel to bring some hope to this case. But as time passes, your scenario makes much more sense than mine.

Greta Sustren (On the Record) on Fox last night covered that Rob Lowe would be playing Drew Peterson in a movie. When Drew was asked what he thought about Rob Lowe playing him, he made a comment that he would like Denzel Washington but Rob was OK. Well, I was a bit shocked that Rob Lowe was chosen to play the part of Drew Peterson. I would have never guessed Rob Lowe. In my opinion he is too pretty and too "nice" acting and too clean cut. I've been thinking about who I think may fit the part better..........I'm still thinking...........e

I can see Nick Nolte or even Gary Busey (whom I can't stand) playing Drew P. You're right, Rob Lowe is too cute and nice to portray this evil bag of carp.

I think the barrel was a diversion too. And the whole step-brother scene. I think that was staged. It was way to easy, and the step brother was too vulnerable, would have been too easy to break. And I believe that DrewP would have known that.

I do think he either did it alone, or if he had help it was more likely to be the former cop. I think his name was Robinson. The two had been in some business together and seemed to have maintained contact. His son may have been involved, but I think it is more likely that he knows what happened, but didn't help with the body. That is why he was given the gun and not Robinson. DrewP wants to keep attention off him.

Thank Heavens I found this page here! I did search after search for anything Drew Peterson here on Websleuths but had a really hard time! The Casey Anthony stuff is EVERYWHERE here! LOL!

I am wondering IF and WHEN Drew Peterson ever will go to trial for killing his two wives?

He is EVIL-EVIL-EVIL! And speaking of Casey Anthony....maybe Casey and Drew would be the perfect match....behind bars of course!

:)

George Kennedy could play Drew Peterson.
