A Salt Lake City mother faces child endangerment charges after police found drugs in her 19-month-old daughter's system.
Police say officers discovered the child alone at a home on Aug. 2. Officers say the toddler's breath smelled strongly of alcohol and that she was covered in feces.
Drug tests later revealed the girl had cocaine and amphetamines in her system.
Police arrested the toddler's mother, 20-year-old Sara Jerz, after she admitted to leaving her alone at the home. She was charged with third-degree felony child endangerment.
If convicted, Jerz could face prison time.
