This is an interesting unidentified Doe.


I also found some background stuff on Susan and I will post it if 1. It’s ok to post links to it here and 2. I can find it again.

Stuff like where she lived, her family, at least one attempt to obtain dentals for her, what appears to be a tidbit of her possible career path.

Susan was originally from Illinois.

Her sister passed away in 1976 and Susan was already married by that date as per her sister’s obituary.

Wow, great research! Did you find all this on Ancestry? I always find the ''few details are available'' cases to be the saddest and there are so many of them.

I wonder if anyone remembers Susan from her time as a performing artist, was she singer or a dancer?

Some on ancestry, some on newspapers.com, the dental and performing arts stuff by searching Google books. Her father and sister are deceased. A tree on ancestry says that her sister had a different mom but I haven’t yet found the name of Susan’s mom to determine if she’s still living or even if that is correct information. The sister’s mom is definitely deceased. Can’t find the name of the husband. Not sure if anyone is left alive to care as far as family members. Someone reported her listing to include her clothing. Who reported? Why no more details? Frustrating! I’ll keep digging.

Hmmm…I just noticed she sometimes went by Cathy. Her middle initial is J. Her sister’s name was Kathleen and she was called Kathy/Cathy at least sometimes. I found an article about the sister performing in a local theatre show. I’ll see if I can find it again. I wonder why Susan would use her sister’s name? I would really like to know who reported her missing in the first place.
