NY - Rudolph Henry, 44, stabbed to death, Brooklyn, 9 Sept 2010

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_c...ntent=My+Yahoo

She stabbed him to death. There is also something in the article about a 4 y/o son, not sure if the dvd mentioned meant it was with the child?

Shellyann Henry aged 32 stabbed her husband Rudolph Henry of Brooklyn.

O.K. she finds a porn tape. Is he in it? Neighbors said that Shellyann Henry was screaming that he had porn with her 4 year old son.

It's not clear if she meant the child was in the pornography or not. Ms. Henry has three children ages 17, 4, and a newborn.

The way this article is written, it doesn't sound as if the child was in the porn video but rather might have been present when his mother killed his father. The couple was known to have a tumultuous relationship but it had not been violent before this event. The woman has been charged with murder.

My prayers go out to those children.

"Thirty-two-year-old Shellyann Henry apparently became enraged and confronted her husband, 44-year-old Rudolph Henry, when she found him watching a pornographic DVD in their home on Wilson Avenue, 1010 WINS’ Terry Sheridan reported.

Sheridan also reported that the couple’s 4-year-old son may or may not have been in the room during the commotion...."

Thanks for the link Missizzy, I didn't see that. I was hoping that the son was not in the video. Still, it's so shocking, that she was that enraged to kill her husband!

The sad irony is that these seem to the universal and age old issues to any flare in a relationship....money and sex.

I'd like to know what the neighbors or family members could have done pro-actively. WS has led me to believe that some violence and death is literally inevitable. I truly like to hold on to the belief that there are societal "fixes" for everything.

    Sadly, there's just not.

Wow - that's pretty extreme. My ex used to hide his porn in the trunk of the car, where I'd never find it (insert sarcasm here). For me, it wasn't so much the porn, but that he felt a need to hide it. That's what PO'd me off. We're divorced now, but I never thought about killing him. Yikes!

I find her actions way over the top. I have never viewed porn of any kind in my life but if I found that my husband had been watching it...I would be upset of course but it certainly wouldn't rise to the level that I wanted to literally kill him.

Good grief, it just seems that some relationships can't handle anything peacefully. If she disapproved of him watching the porn and having no job then she could have left with their child.

I will always agree with Sharon Rocha........divorce is always an option.

Enraged wife kills husband after finding porn DVD in home

Those poor kids. What a sad situation.
According to the first article, the husband went to the kitchen, got a knife and threatened to cut her. First.
I wonder if this would have been just another agument if he hadn't done that.
I'm not blaming the victim here, just looking at the info reported in the media.
The baby 8 months old. Could Mom have been experiencing a postpartum hormonal imbalance? Jmo

It appears the porn just pushed this lady over the top.

She's raising kids. She had to go to work. Hubby is out of work. Supposedly he slapped her and said that was the day he was going to jail. I'm thinking all day long she probably took care of the kids and him. She had to rush to get ready for work. She's leaving and spots the porn. Obviously the TV was universal to the family. I'd be freaked out too.

The porn itself I wouldn't freak. Porn in a house with my kids. I'd have flipped. Not advocating violence, and no way should she have stabbed him. Now who do those kids have? Divorce is right.

ITA, Filly. I think this woman was on a slow boil for a long time. My guess is that she'd asked, begged, and pleaded with the man not to watch the porn in front of the kids. If he wants to do it at midnight, when everyone's asleep, that's a different matter. But to be heading out the door to work and leaving three little ones in the care of a man who's lounging on the sofa watching porn....I wouldn't be happy.

She just took it way too far. I too wondered about the hormonal issues. If she'd just gone back to work and the baby had just weaned, things could be really wonky.

This is one of the times when the couple should have gotten a divorce FOR the children.
