Nevada mom, daughter go missing in AZ

PHOENIX - Arizona authorities are searching for a Nevada woman and her young daughter who have been reported missing in the Flagstaff area.

The Coconino County Sheriff's Office says 31-year-old Suellen Roberts and her 12-year-old daughter, Lexis, were visiting the Bearizona Wildlife Park in Williams last weekend and they may have been accompanied by a man.

Officials say a guest book at the park showed that Roberts made it to the park. They say Roberts' relationship with the man is unclear, but they may have worked together prior to the trip.

Authorities say Roberts, her daughter and the unidentified man all were last seen at a motel in Flagstaff on Saturday. Roberts' mother says she expected her daughter and granddaughter to be back home in Las Vegas by Monday.

The search for a missing Las Vegas woman and her young daughter is now in its second week.

The two went missing in Arizona during the Labor Day weekend and no one has seen or heard from them since.

I wonder why they haven't put out what car they are driving in? They must be in a car, right?

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - A mother and daughter from Las Vegas are missing after leaving for a road trip more than a week ago. The two weren't traveling alone and the family suspects foul play.

"I think maybe he did something to my daughter and now my granddaughter is with him alone. I don't know," says Woodburn.

Well they show their car on a surveillance video.. finally.. and it shows the 12yo in the back seat.

Authorities say 31-year-old Suellen Roberts and her 12-year-old daughter, Lexis, were visiting the Bearizona Wildlife Park in Williams, AZ over Labor Day weekend.

They were expected home at the end of the long weekend, but never made it.

They were with Thomas Steven Sanders, Suellen's new boyfriend of just two months.

We've since learned he has a criminal record, though it's unclear what the charges were.

I did a quick check for Thomas Steven Sanders in a couple of databases and I didn't find him but I didn't dig deep. Hopefully someone can ferret out his criminal history.

I did AZ and NV inmates databases (inactive or paroled inmates). Nothing. That means nothing though.

I did the national sex offender database. Nothing.

They were headed to the Grand Canyon after the wildlife park.

Her cell was used on the 5th of September a day after she had talked to her Mom.

That is a mug shot and the video shows another one as well.

I wasn't talking about the long weekend, I meant it has been 2 weeks now and police are not ruling out that she went to start a new life with him. If that were the case the girl would be in school.

Is there really any reason to believe this woman took her child and ran off with this man she'd known a few months to begin a new life? I know sometimes people do crazy things but I haven't read anything which leads me to believe that's the case here.

It seems they just went for a weekend trip and something happened which prevented their return. I'm concerned for both of them.

Suellen and Lexis signed the guest book at their hotel and, on Saturday, surveillance photos of their car were taken entering Bearizona Wildlife Park.

That is the last time they were seen.

The above is a video (professionally made) as an advert for the drive through park.

I only put it here because of the article that said they were last seen entering the park.

It's a drive through park and although you can travel at your own pace and are welcome to stay until dusk, it only takes about an hour to drive.

I wonder if they have them leaving on video yet?
