Wonder what the estimated date of death is.

What the heck were all the pins for? That would probably help out a lot. I have to believe they've looked into that.

They are basically a souvenir for places you have visited but it doesn't always mean you have been there. Sometimes people just collect and trade them.

The pins are all from the Vancouver Exposition of 1986 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expo_86), except for the CN Tower in Toronto. It's true that he might have obtained them from somebody else, but my first guess would be that he was attending the expo from another country and didn't make it home. Wish we knew when the estimated date of death was, though -- if he didn't die until 1995, my theory won't hold water.

According to wikipedia, Expo 86 occurred from May 2, 1986 until October 13th, 1986.

So that may help narrow down the window a bit, as it is not clear the post mortem interval. Date found: December 3, 1995.

From the information on the BC UHR Viewer his PMI was 1 month to 1 year. So that narrows it down slightly.
