Jose lived with his relative and roommate, Gilberto Gonzalez, in Tucson, Arizona. Both of them were last seen on January 20, 1996. Their friends grew concerned when they failed to attend a scheduled event that day. Their apartment was discovered unlocked with the keys inside, and their vehicle parked nearby. All personal belongings had been left behind with no signs of a struggle. They have never been heard from again.
