Canada - Denise Vernier, 50, Cornwall ON, 19 Sept 2010
CORNWALL Police in Cornwall are requesting public assistance in locating a missing person. Authorities say 50-year-old Denise Vernier has not been seen since Sunday. She is believed to have been riding a yellow bicycle with a basket at the front. She is described as Caucasian, five-feet-five, 240 pounds, short reddish-brown hair, brown eyes and wearing glasses with dark tint.

I do hope she is ok. I can only imagine what the family is going through.
The brother of a missing woman is pleading for the public to help find his younger sibling.
Denise Vernier, 50, went missing on Sunday, when she was last seen riding a yellow bicycle with a basket on the front handle bars.
Her older brother, Paul Pilon of London, Ont., has since been talking to the local police, the OPP and London Police to see if they can help track her down.

Cornwall Police are offing a $5,000 reward for information on the disappearance of Denise Vernier.
The 51 year old was last seen on Sunday and is believed to be wearing a gray Kodiak jacket.
She may be riding a yellow bicycle with high handle bars and a white basket on the front.
Vernier is 55, 240lbs with gray hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Jennifer Payment at (613) 933-5000, ext. 2436

Denise VERNIER was reported missing to the Cornwall Community Police Service on Sunday, September 19th, 2010. Denise was last seen in the City of Cornwall. She has not had any contact with family or friends since her disappearance.

Search for missing city woman intensifies

CORNWALL -- It's now been two months since the disappearance of a Cornwall woman and the situation has Jean Bedard stumped.
Bedard, the head of the city-based Missing Children and Adults Association of Canada, said there have been no leads in the search for 51-year-old Denise Vernier.

The arch for Denise Vernier won't be hitting the skies.
Jean Bedard of the Missing Children and Adults Association of Canada said time has run out on renting a plane to use infrared along the St. Lawrence River shoreline.
He said the cost of $5,000 for insurance purposes was also prohibitive.
Bedard, however, hopes to contact the TV show, America's Most Wanted, to see if they would be interested on sharing information of Vernier's disappearance.

CORNWALL, Ont. - Police removed human remains from a wooded area here Tuesday, and are awaiting test results to see if it is the body of a woman who went missing in the city last autumn.
The remains were discovered Monday at about 10 a.m. Police say foul play is not suspected.

CORNWALL -- Police have confirmed that human remains discovered in a wooded area in the city's west end on Monday are that of a female.
Detective Staff Sergeant Shawn White of the Cornwall Community Police Service said they are now waiting on dental records to confirm the identity of the woman, who was found in a forested area on Saunders Drive.
