ALLIANCE, Ohio - Police said when they arrived at the local Wal-Mart early Wednesday morning, the suspected thief they were looking for appeared to vanish.

For about 40 minutes, police searched for the suspect who was accused of trying to sneak about $1,000 worth of merchandise out of a side door around 5 a.m.

Critical condition after being compacted numerous times. If he dies, he'll undoubtedly receive a Darwin Award.

Also, on the phone with 911 for 16 minutes during which he was being repeatedly compacted. Yikes!
 
This is just insane! I hope he lives I dont think shoplifting deserves a death sentence even if he awarded to himself.

Sure didn't work out for him like it does for smooth criminals on television cop shows did it?

Sorry, it's hard to muster sympathy for self inflicted stupid.
 
Can't imagine to be inside stink-in garage truck & being compression for numerous of times. It's too bad that he paid big price for his criminal & hide actions.
 
Well I was looking for an update on this guy and they say he is still critical. I guess he's gonna live.

I guess we could chalk this up to reaping what you sow, but I do think it is awful of the newscasters to be smiling and laughing about this happening......being compacted and left in critical condition is quite a lot of punishment for shoplifting.
