A Jackson woman reportedly last seen on Sept. 4 in Fort Valley is the subject of a search by Butts County authorities.

Gilbert is described as between 4 feet, 10 inches and 5 feet tall, with brown shoulder-length hair, blue eyes and weighing about 150 pounds. She also reportedly has a scar on her right ankle.
Filbeck said Gilbert reportedly left home Sept. 3 at 6:30 p.m., presumably to visit her mother in Jackson. Fort Valley police later made contact with her near a Burger King on Commercial Highway in Fort Valley, Filbeck said. But at that point, around 2 a.m. Sept. 4, she had not been reported missing.
Filbeck said police in Fort Valley later found her vehicle in the Burger King parking lot with the headlights still on and contacted her husband. Filbeck said the woman’s purse was found inside the vehicle, and her white flip-flops were found in a nearby ditch.
