Who is DM? I cannot find any information on him.

    TIA

When I first saw this I immediately thought of the guy who was following his wife, he was on a motorcycle and she was driving with their children in a car, they got separated. It was years ago.. Can't think of his name.

    From his NamUs page:

Relatives said that they last heard from Donald Mitchell, 51, on April 8, 2010. His son came to his home after several attempts to contact him failed. He found the home unlocked and the garage door open. A dirt bike that Mitchell's son was storing in the garage was missing.

It appears Mitchell left the home sometime before April 12 because tracks left by the bike had degraded by rain that fell that day.

Mitchell was riding a red 2008 Honda CRF450R dirtbike. The license number is 84C83Y. He may have been riding without a helmet.

Mitchell is described as a white male, 5'10", 175 lbs, with short brown hair, and hazel eyes.

Here's an article on his disappearance:

But this isn't him. David's motorcycle was located.

I'm slightly reminded of the Rodney Alcala photo of the woman on a motorbike in a desert sort of terrain.

Skeletal remains discovered Thursday in the open desert here are believed to belong to a Landers man missing since April 8.

    ...

The county coronerís office reported officials are planning to contact the family of 54-year-old Donald Mitchell to get records to confirm if the body is Mitchell.
