WI - Christian Devine & Jamie Zdanovec for kidnapping, Wausau, 2010
Don't borrow money off of Christian Devine if you can't pay him back.
Last week Devine and Jamie Zdonavec kidnapped Tanya Boettcher and drove her around Wausau for about forty minutes or so. Boettcher's husband owed Devine $290.00 and he kidnapped the woman so he could get his loot back.
After days of searching for the suspect he turned himself in to police. The best part of all this is he left the victim out front of his mom's house. Way to go brainyard. For $290.00 he kidnaps someone.
No news so far on his buddy, Zdonavec. I have to look more.

Sorry. My bad. Jamie Zdanovec is the proper spelling and she's a well a she. The 29 year old Zdanovec has been arrested as well.
They put a sweatshirt around this poor ladies head so she couldn't see. Threatened her with weapons. She said she had met Devine prior but didn't know her husband owed him the $290.00.
How's that work? Like did he pay back $10.00? Did he only borrow $290.00?

As part of the plea deal Devine entered a no-contest plea. Prosecutors will argue for 25-years probation during a sentencing hearing September 9th. He could have received 40-years in jail.
An accomplice in a Wausau kidnapping case was in court yesterday. A judge ruled there is enough evidence for 30-year-old Jamie Zdanovec to stand trial...
Devine has already plead guilty. He was sentenced to 7-months in jail.

... in Marathon County Court, Jamie Zdanovec entered no contest pleas to charges of false imprisonment and threatening to hurt someone as part of a plea deal with prosecutors. A charge of taking a hostage was dismissed.

Christian Devine, kidnapper
It wasn't even the person who owed him the money that he kidnapped, it was the man's wife... Then he phoned the man up and said he would kill the wife if he didn't pay up.
Never lend money to Chris Devine.
