This is less than 3 hours from where Kara went missing. I was going to disregard it because she has been missing for so long... but with her father in law having a history of arson....

"I've always been told there are things worse than death and now I know what they mean," says Sheila Tingle.

It's been 145 days since she last saw her daughter, Kara Rigdon. The Marion County woman has been missing ever since her car was discovered empty on the side of the Blue Grass Parkway in July. State Police have had few leads, but their investigation did lead them to arrest her husband Bobby Rigdon and father in law William Rigdon on separate charges in a 2006 attempted murder. So far, they have not been able to link them to Kara's disappearance.

Marion County woman missing now for one year

One year ago this Sunday, Sheila Tingle says she had a mother-daughter day with her daughter, Kara Rigdon. Later that day, Kara left her home in Gravel Switch and never returned.

[snip]

While police don’t have any suspects in her disappearance, their investigation did result in the arrests of Kara’s estranged husband, and several of his relatives last September on unrelated charges. State and federal officials even executed a search warrant on the Rigdon family property. There hasn’t been much information since then, but Tingle remains hopeful and confident in the lead detective.
