He is very much methodical in his detailing/catologuing of his crimes, I suspect that comes from being in the army for so long - having to keep very detailed logs, etc.

I'm confused by the above bolded sentence. Do you mean RW moved his loot from Orleans to the Ottawa home? Because clearly LE removed the evidence from this Ottawa residence.

I can't believe that LE didn't search the Orleans home, nor that RW would be stupid enough to leave any behind.

According to all reports, the break-ins began after RW and MEH purchased the Tweed cottage. It's also hard to believe that RW would move his trophies from Tweed to Orleans. My guess is that until the Ottawa construction was complete, the Tweed souvenirs were kept in the cottage and the Orleans ones in Orleans, with those later transferred to Ottawa.

I would like to know if RW burned selected trophies in the Ottawa field (twice), or if he burned them according to date stolen? Were the 600 underwear LE found catalogued upon arrest, those from his most recent victims?

    Lianne Elliott:
The CBC's Dave Seglins explains what can be expected today:

Crown prosecutors will resume their detailed review of the evidence in Col. Russell Williams' escalating crime spree, beginning with his sexual assault and confinement of his Tweed neighbour Lxxxxx Mxxxxxxxxx.
Later today, the Crown will examine Williams’ murder of Cpl. Marie-France Comeau, a woman under his command at CFB Trenton, and his first fatal victim who died of asphyxiation in November 2009. The prosecutors will also detail the abduction, confinement, assault and killing of Jessica Lloyd in late January of 2010.

Tomorrow, Crown prosecutors intend to play more than two hours of police video for the court – recordings of Williams’ interrogation and ultimate confession on Feb. 7 2010.

Walking into court house this morning, Ontario Provincial Police Det. Insp. Chris Nicholas, the lead detective on the case, said, "Not that yesterday wasn't graphic, but it's certainly going to continue on through the day with more serious charges.
"I think you can expect to be shocked and overwhelmed with the amount of detail that's going to come out today.
"I've seen bad in my career. This is certainly a case, sheer volume, I've never seen anything like this."
There will be details of the assault and murder, but no pictures.
"It's just to graphic, and out of respect for the victims and their families," said Nicholas.
"No one needs to see that at all."
The decision not to show Williams' own videos was made some time ago. The families have already seen the evidence that will be in court today, Nicholas said.
"I think today the nation is getting a good dose of reality. Of just how evil people can be."
It's been very hard for the police officers, working at this for nine months, he said.
There will be several victim impact statements read into the public record, starting after evidence is presented.

Second day of the sentencing hearing for Russ Williams in Belleville. In the courtroom, the lawyers are assembling, reporters readying with computers and notepads, members of the public whispering to each other. Wonder why they’re here—if they know someone affected by these crimes, or were themselves. No sign of Williams yet.

LMsuggested RW blindfold her, as he was blocking her sight with his elbow and it hurt her. Blindfolded with pillowcase.[

When RW mentioned he desired to take a photo, "She believed that she would be raped and killed." He said he wouldn't kill her.

Videos are too graphic, and not being shown out of respect for family and victims, says OPP Det-Insp Nicholas.

Hearing that Williams discarded items that he took from Massicotte’s house on Feb. 7, 2010—the day that police called him for questioning regarding the murder of Jesscia Lloyd.

    [10:05]

Exhibit 5 is filed: more photos.

Crown lawyer Lee Burgess is up, discussing counts 77, 78 against Laurie Massicotte, the second sexual assault victim.

She asked RW why he wanted to take a photo and he said it was so "they" could have a photo of her. [via Twitter]

"She could see the flash through the blindfold and also hear the camera," Burgess says of evidence of LM.

After RW took a final photo of her covered with blanket, "She begged him not to put the photographs on the Internet." [via Twitter]

LM was still blindfolded when the police arrived. She called for help about an hour after RW left her, head against couch
