Earlier this morning, around 12:55 a.m., three men, between 18 and 20 years old, had broken into the woman's house, which is near the scene of her murder on West 8th Street near Sproul. The intruders pointed a gun at her and asked "Where's your man?" police said. They robbed the woman of $100, two cell phones and fled without injuring her.

Police are investigating whether the two incidents are connected. (You think?!) The woman's name is being withheld pending family notification.

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man late Sunday during a confrontation in which he is believed to have tried to force his way into a city home.

Terrance Reason was identified as the man fatally shot at about 11:46 p.m. in the 1100 block of Walnut Street...

Investigators said they had long eyed Reason as a suspect in the death of Whylisha Foreman, who was gunned down while riding her bicycle in the area of Eighth and Sproul streets around 2:23 a.m. on Oct. 12, 2010. Reason was never charged with the murder, according to police sources.
