Police are searching a wooded area dozens of miles from where the missing 10-year-old Zahra Baker was last seen.
The scene is down a dead end dirt drive off of the Hartland Road north of Morganton where police spent more than seven hours looking for clues around a wood chipper and in mulch piles.
Alvin Zero Webb lives near the area where authorities are searching and told Channel 9 that deputies visited his home on Monday. "I'm worried. I'm worried if she's ok or not," he said.
Law enforcement sources tell channel 9 Zahra's father, Adam Baker, worked in the tree trimming business and had access to the equipment on the property.
Deputies say cadaver dogs hit on the equipment and the mulch leading to the intensive search Monday.
"They were looking for blood," Webb said.

Glove with "red goo" - sadly may be related to using a woochipper, and burning clothes in the yard? Forgot the glove?

Sorry about quick posts with not a lot of words... am working (shocking, I know...)

Would a wood chipper fit into one of the vehicles that SM or dad owned? Or is it the kind of equipment that would be pulled behind by a trailer?

IIRC someone way up thread mentioned a video or pictures of trees behind the home and I think maybe they wrote about a woodchipper being in these photos? This was long before any mention of today's search. Would be nice to find that post to see for sure.

It's about 30 minutes from their home in Sawmills/Hudson. 10 miles-ish by way the crow flies.

Hartford is kind of a long road, so i will update the map again when we have a concrete address, but I've added the rough location:

Going to dinner, be back shortly.

He knew all along. You tell me how else he knew to lead LE to that spot? Is he psychic?

Sorry, forgive my ignorance, but what is "red goo". Something a wood chipper spits out?

Apologies if this has been discussed already (I'm still catching up) but to me it seems like the SM was jealous of Zahra. She probably got lots of attention from people outside the family and told what a beautiful strong girl she was (which she was!) and that not so beautiful SM probably didn't like that too much.

If I understand correctly his job and the company Coffey owns is a landscaping company, so you are talking industrial level machines.

This machine might have been at a jobsite, put the child's body in the vehicle (that you later douse in gas and attempt to include in a fire, and cadaver dogs hit on) drive to the job site and chip the body.

This is disgusting beyond words. Looks like dad is leading them to some evidence.

Just got home and want to thank everyone for the terrific updates, links, pictures, and insightful comments. WS is the best. moo
