Please Continue Here...

Regarding social networks
Regarding facebook, twitter, and myspace you can link but do not cut and paste. But the goal is to really only link to those that are directly linked to a case.

IOW, we don't want to post to someone's mother, brother, employer, milkman , or postal carrier just because they know the main player. It just gets too invasive and half the time we are not even sure it is the right person. When a post starts out, I found 5 people with this name do you you think any of these are [insert person here]? that is not a good thing.

It will often be up to mod discretion as to who can and cannot be linked, but the general rule of thumb is if they are named in the media specifically as having some role or are being questioned or have information then you are probably safe to link. No screen caps and no cutting and pasting. If a social media is set to private and you get in the back way and post what you see, that is not a good thing!Private means private.
Just imagine if is you if you cannot decide and you shoulod be able to figure out if it is ok.

You are free to discuss what you may come upon, but if it is just a lot of gossip and rumor it won't fly. People open facebook accounts and post whatever they want and to carry that as some sort of inside info is careless. but, sometimes there is really valuable information that may even come into evidence as in the Caylee Anthony case. So, if you know for a fact it is the right person and they are named outright in the msm as someone linked to the case it should be fine. IF IT IS A MINOR DON"T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!

If something was posted as public and then removed you might be able to post it, it is up to the mod of the forum and it depends on who, what, when and where.
The mods are listed at the bottom right of the forum under the index, they can generally help. If not, they will ask admin for guidance and we will all decide what is best.

Generally we try not to invade everyone's privacy and if the linked information has no bearing on anything, then leave it out.
We moderate here. Some people love it and some people hate it. Up to you to stay or go, choice is yours. Complaining about our rules doesn't help. if you have a suggestion or think of a better way, bring it on! We are far from perfect and welcome your input as long as it is civil and basically polite.

thanks for the new thread ImaB

Thank you to kalekona for explaining to me why AB can not visit EB in jail.

Ahhh, I miss Bourbon Street! New Orleans is my original home, so I LOL'ed when you said that. Heck, you can lose long term memory there too, ha ha!

But wow...getting back to the case, that person and that car could be really important! I am intrigued now! Hmmm, someone playing with a lighter? I can see where this is going - Zahra set herself on fire or it was some neighborhood punk. Sounds like something to take responsibility off of AB and EB to me. I don't like the sound of that sighting...

But ooh, the car. That could be really important! I hope they find it and that it helps to find Zahra in some way!

The car could be very important, or if it disappeared before Sept. 25th, then it would mean nothing. We need more info!

Bourbon Street !!!!!!! Nursie - I'm jealous.

Why would they put it "playing with a lighter"? So someone was just sittin' on the back steps flicking a lighter on and off? Strange

I sure hope they get the copters up and start looking at the waters.

Do we know how long they have had the SUV and minivan?
One of the first things LE would have done is pulled all vehicles registered to them.

Maybe it was a car they had that was not registered to them......KWIM?

Yep sarx ITA - and if that Monte Carlo is still registered to them - well then, LE has been on this for a few days. LE can out out about a car very quickly - BUT actually finding the PHYSICAL car is the problem.

I think the car could be important.

yep, seems like it would have come up before this?

And a car (70's something Monte Carlo is BIG iirc) is much harder to hide/dispose of than...well... you know :furious:

Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised if grand theft auto was another charge added on...and I'm not talkin' bout the game either.

Well, their's seems to be a tight knit bunch, so maybe it belonged to a friend or extended family member .... if it comes back not registered to them.

Think I'll wait and see what develops before I decide what to think about the car.

The phrase playing with a lighter bothers me. how would a witness, from across the way, across the fence, from wherever they witnessed this, know if the person was "playing" with it? Playing with lighters to me implies a certain immaturity or youth as in child.

I've never seen an adult who plays with lighters.

Furthermore, if this person saw this on the night in question - why wouldn't they have come forward when all the FD personnel were there responding? And if not report it at that time them surely by the time Zahra is reported "kidnapped" later in the day.

stink and hink IMO

As to the car, that could be something, could be nothing. Again if it disappeared that night, very interesting that it wasn't reported stolen, perhaps by the kidnappers. That would seem to be SM's style. And if it disappeared that night implies SM and AB do not wish LE to know about/look for it which implies a whole nother thing IYKWIM

I am more of the opinion that the Monte Carlo was traded sold or junked in the weeks prior to Zahra's reported disappearance. Probably unrelated, but hey, ya never know.

Which could be why it disappeared. Maybe they just gave it back. Don't get me wrong, it needs to be checked. I am just nowhere near ready to put a body in the trunk of said car.

I disagree - put Zahra in the trunk - find an out of the way place through the woods that dead ends at the water - push the car in - you're done.

As for the registration on the car - LE can run a search just on the make, model and year(s) and all cars that match the description will come back. They would then have a VIN# and a plate#.

Maybe they recently sold it - that would be easy to track. Maybe that's why EB was in that furniture store looking for living room furniture - with the money from the car. But I highly doubt a 70's monte carlo would bring much more than a couple of hundred dollars (if that).

I'm so glad this is somewhat of a rural area and not "urban mecca" like where I am - finding a car where I'm at is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Not so strange if you picture a pipe under that flame JMO

Maybe they were smokin a lil somethin somethin... or had extra energy to burn. Not sure rational thinking has to apply here.

I sure hope LE finds out something on that Monte Carlo that leads them closer to Zahra.
