PA - Woman Pulls Gun On Public Bus Because Passanger Talks Too Loud On Cell Phone
Common courtesy? Cordelia Chisolm never had a police record and she's 58 years ol. That all changed on a Philadelphia bus.
There's video of this that's real interesting. It includes some chick who was yapping on her phone who don't back down after Ms. Chisolm pulls the gun. There's quite a few children on the bus and there's one guy who steps in to break it up after making sure his little boys get off the bus.
Basically Ms. Chisolm got on the bus with about two dozen others. From get go she gets into an argument with one of those loud people who yap on their cell. Ms. Chisolm moved her spot but the argumenat continued until she pulled out a .38 caliber revolver and pointed it at the chick. That's when the good Samaritan got in it and seperated the two.

I have a very short list of scenarios where I could be induced to use a gun. This is one of them.
Just kidding. I hate guns, and the woman was wrong by all counts. Still, I hope Chatty Cathy has learned to tone it down from now on.__________________________________

If you get to see the video this chick who was yapping don't back down. Gun or not. Oh I hear ya. I've been on the EL and you have ten different people not speaking but talking, cursing, discussing their bubble bath with their boyfriend the night before. No decorum.
The guy who stepped in was brave IMO. He basically probably saved a bunch of people from getting inadvertently hurt. Man, I'd have been off that bus the minute I saw that gun.

Holy Cow, I would have ran quick if someone pulled a gun on a bus.
Talking constantly on the phone must have been annoying but pulling a gun seems a tad bit drastic.

Here? Ya never know. I have to link the video. It's unreal after the lady pulls the gun the cell chick is ready to fight.
Meanwhile there's no mass exodus. Just one lady grabs her child and gets off. The guy who got between them told his little boys to get off. Lord only knows what the bus driver did.
O.K. I think the video is here.
Rasheem Bingham is the guy who stepped in.

yeah, those people are really annoying & rude & disrespectful but it just goes to show how having a gun can spiral out of control
bless Rasheem for being so calm

My husband and I were out eating in a Chinese restaurant a week ago. He gets a call from work and starts talking. I give him the evil stink eye. He heads outside to finish conversation. See, that wasn't so hard.

Can I live in your pretend world?
O.K. I haven't been well traveled in this life, but I've been to a few States where I have been in this position. Maybe it's just me but an I tell ya people here are LOUD! Hey, I'm loud. You have to be loud to get heard here.
An example of this is best laid out on Amtrak. My DD and I would almost make a game of it coming and going from Virginia.
You know you're almost home when you hit Washington. Suddenly everyone is loud. On the way down to VA you know you passed Washington because things get slower. People calm the heck down. Cell conversations are hushed.
Not a cellphone story but we loved the time we stop at Washington. They change conductors there and staff. A woman conductor before we pull out comes out of the bathroom and yells "O.K. who pe*d on that toilet seat?" Someone points to this poor man who didn't understand English obviously and she is going off on the guy. "You pe* on your own seat at home like that?" Classic.
For these and all my Philly sins I am sorry and this makes Rasheem Bingham a bigger hero IMO.

Well there is all kinds of "I can't believe it" in this video.
First, having a gun doesn't cause things to spiral out of control, pulling a gun on someone because they are loud causes things to be out of control! Wha? Pulling a gun on someone should happen when you feel your life is in imminent danger, not when you are inconvenienced or annoyed.
Good grief, someone is too loud for you? you are bothered by their call? Get over it and mind your own business!
Second, someone pulls a gun on you, and you don't back down? Wha? Instead you want to fight? I don't get the messed up logic taking place here.
Third, the people sitting there. There is now a gunfight right in front of you, and you continue riding on the bus like it's any other day.:Banane36: huh? One, only one, lady gets her kid and gets the heck away.
Okay, rant off. Sorry this whole situation was ridiculous and completely avoidable.I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it left.

I saw the thread title and was sure it was Filly who had pulled that gun."Don't forget the kangaroo!"

Wanna come visit?
Tuffy, you wouldn't believe half the stuff you see on SEPTA. Then people tell me not to worry and leave my kid travel that way at night. Let her go. She's grown.
In all honesty I think my DD would have stayed on there. She was held up at gunpoint and still has zero fear. People get desensitized.
Plus you forgot the craziest of all is the dad walks right in between them. Bless his heart and all but my tail would have been the first one off there. This is by far not the first time we had people either pulling guns or shooting on public transportation.
Man, and they talk about people in Texas and their guns.
