Social Networks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Regarding social networks
Regarding facebook, twitter, and myspace you can link but do not cut and paste. But the goal is to really only link to those that are directly linked to a case.
IOW, we don't want to post to someone's mother, brother, employer, milkman , or postal carrier just because they know the main player. It just gets too invasive and half the time we are not even sure it is the right person. When a post starts out, I found 5 people with this name do you you think any of these are [insert person here]? that is not a good thing.
It will often be up to mod discretion as to who can and cannot be linked, but the general rule of thumb is if they are named in the media specifically as having some role or are being questioned or have information then you are probably safe to link. No screen caps and no cutting and pasting. If a social media is set to private and you get in the back way and post what you see, that is not a good thing!Private means private.
Just imagine if is you if you cannot decide and you shoulod be able to figure out if it is ok.
You are free to discuss what you may come upon, but if it is just a lot of gossip and rumor it won't fly. People open facebook accounts and post whatever they want and to carry that as some sort of inside info is careless. but, sometimes there is really valuable information that may even come into evidence as in the Caylee Anthony case. So, if you know for a fact it is the right person and they are named outright in the msm as someone linked to the case it should be fine. IF IT IS A MINOR DON"T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!
If something was posted as public and then removed you might be able to post it, it is up to the mod of the forum and it depends on who, what, when and where.
The mods are listed at the bottom right of the forum under the index, they can generally help. If not, they will ask admin for guidance and we will all decide what is best.
Generally we try not to invade everyone's privacy and if the linked information has no bearing on anything, then leave it out.
We moderate here. Some people love it and some people hate it. Up to you to stay or go, choice is yours. Complaining about our rules doesn't help. if you have a suggestion or think of a better way, bring it on! We are far from perfect and welcome your input as long as it is civil and basically polite.

Rumors are not allowed! If you have questions about posting something please pm me or one of the Mods. Thank You.

Ima

Edited to add: If you have questions please PM me or a Mod, we will be happy to help and keep the thread dedicated to Zahra. Thanks again.

I just watched HLN, that is some serious landfill searching!
I was thinking maybe Zahra kept a diary???
wonder if some of it was in the fire???

Welcome to all the new folks-you will soon get the hang of it all...

Good morning everyone. Wow...lots of new information to digest from overnight. Is anyone getting any sleep?!

Some more thoughts...

I'm still on the fence regarding AB, mostly because of the support he's getting from EB's family. They know a lot more than we do and I can't believe they would support him like this if they didn't have good reason to. Of course anything that is found that proves that Zahra was no longer with us prior to October 9th and I'll be knocking that fence right down and taking EB's family down with it.

Great discussions on whether AB was involved or not. Great arguments either way. I can imagine how LE feels. They just need that one clue to answer that one it seems.

The online relationship with the London guy just goes to show how much AB was not aware of. Any luck with that agatha? (can I call you that for short...I think you've proved you're no wannabe :)) Big thanks for all you're doing.

If AF was talking with her mother right up until the day of her arrest, did she at least hear Zahra in the background during any of those calls or ever speak to her after the move? I think it's been alluded to that members of the family other than EB or AB have attempted to place Zahra at the house after Sept 25th but LE is asking for people completely outside the circle. Do they think the whole family is involved in some kind of cover up? Just out to take down EB? :waitasec:

They both have cell phones. EB was going to give her number to the 911 dispatch and AB did. Unless it's the same phone but I doubt it, he'd probably need his for work. You would think that all of their movements for the past month can be traced through those. :waitasec:

AF claimed that EB got some money from the London guy during the week before Zahra "disappeared". Did EB make a trip to the bank? Did Zahra overhear something, did she know something? EB told AF she wanted to leave the state the day before she was arrested. Was it before or after AB returned home from work and made that 911 call that she said that? Was AF talking to EB before AB returned and EB didn't mention that Zahra was missing to her?

Hoping today brings the answers and justice for Zahra.

I want to comment on the speculation about whether AB did or didn't lie about having spoken with EB since her arrest.

I most definitely agree that so much "reporting" is other journalists' work being churned around until it's often unrecognizable and then published as if it were original. Also that stories are often updated in a careless manner.

HOWEVER, in this case the Charlotte Observer article makes it plain that (1) AB's statement was made directly to them, and (2) it was made after the hearing yesterday (since it refers to EB's arrest as "last week"):

"After the hearing, Adam Baker was at the family's Hickory house removing belongings. He told the Observer he hasn't spoken with his wife since she was arrested last week."

If they actually mean that he told them that at some time PRIOR TO LAST WEEKEND, this goes beyond sloppy reporting.

Can someone give a quick update to those of us who went to bed early last night? I seem to have missed a lot and I really can't sit in front of this computer all day today trying to catch up. My husband is starting to feel neglected.
I always keep it up and running during the day in the event there is a break in the case I can hit reload to find out what is going on.

Thanks to everyone who's posting. :)

Don't know if I know enough to answer but there is video of what looks like a "mattress" being drug across the ground at the dump site.
Three variations of the name of the dude who allegedly gave EB 10,000, from London. That is all I can remember this early, lol. HTH

The Charlotte Observer is also the only source for the story that there were two women in the furniture store with Z. Also, it is said to have reported online, as factual, information on a FB posting which claimed that Z's bio-mom had been searching for her for five years, without attributing the source of its information - someone claiming to be a friend of bio mom.

Well it's always possible that AF, her husband and AB went to the jail to visit EB but that either she or her lawyer turned them away. I don't believe it's been reported that AF actually spoke to her either. :waitasec:

Bellas said Baker has routinely missed court appearances over the last 20 years on previous charges ranging from traffic offenses to communicating threats.

"The only time this defendant comes to court is when the sheriff's office brings her to court," Bellas said.

Lots of debate last night when video of searchers at the landfill carried out a mattess from the refuse.

Sparked a debate as to whether they are looking for a mattress or the prosthetic. We do not yet know the answer but do know it was reported last night that LE will be back at the landfill today continuing their search.

Other than that, you haven't really missed much hon

If EB does get released I wonder who would be there to pick her up, house her and basically take care of her? It doesn't seem like she has anyone left to support her.

My thoughts are will LE today while they spend another day sifting through garbage for that one piece of evidence.
:praying:
I hope they find it so they can get out of that mess. What a horrible thing to have to do for 5 days because someone won't just be honest about where this little girl is. I am so proud of this team, they deserve all the prayers and good wishes we can give them.

i searched my company database last night and eb nor any of her aliases are listed, i'm relieved because she looked familiar. i've noticed that hwy 321 runs through her past like the river in apocalypse now, and although her sc addresses have not been provided, i bet a doughnut its within a few miles of 321.

reading through all of the data on ab, it seems somewhere that he said he last saw zahra tuesday, i mean thursday. if that was a glimpse of light into the truth that would put zahra alive on 10/5 and make a more realistic timeline to the events that followed.

all of this is conjecture

I missed the video of the mattress at the landfill. Can you relink? Nevermind. I see it after reading down further.

Just wanted to say that Carlisle and Fulham are the names of two towns in GB and that they both have "football" clubs and play against each other.

The name for the mysterious suitor might just be a screen name made up of these two football teams.

Okay, my apologies in advance if this becomes a long post. I've got numerous family and friends in and from Aus, and I've just had a long conversation with my best friend in Sydney about this case. I will reference his comments during this diatribe. :)

I've listened to AB's 911 call, and I know that many people find his "Hey, how ya doin'?" odd. I must tell you that I found it completely normal. This is a *very* common way to start any conversation in Australia. At least it is with my friends and family. When I told Ec (my best friend) about it he said, "Yeah, that's Oz." and then went on to say, "yeah I got a problem with me arm.. sawn right off.. she'll be right tho, got a towel wrapped around it." He found nothing odd or sinister in his starting that phone call that way. I'd love to hear from our Aussie members whether they find it odd or not.

Then he went on to say something that surprised even me. "I'm actually surprised he called 911 for a missing person." So I asked him who he would call, and he said he'd just ring the local police station. So maybe it isn't so odd that AB called his boss before calling 911, or seems to not know what to say. I'd love to hear what the boss has to say about the conversation they had.:waitasec:

All in all, I'm still leaning towards AB being dense to everything, either because he was working so much or because child-rearing is the woman's domain, or a combination of the two. And boy, oh boy, do I hope I'm not going to eat crow on this one. (If I have to, I'd appreciate someone passing the salt shaker.)

P.S. I'm not saying AB shouldn't face the consequences of his actions. But I do believe he's been living with the biggest consequence for the last 12 days. Where are you Zahra? Know we're all looking for you, hoping for the best (a miracle) and preparing for the worst.

911 does go to the local police station. Morning Ya'll.
