Police are searching for a 17-year-old Morrow girl who went on a lunch break and never returned.

Monica Ambriz left her job at the El Progresso grocery store on Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro at 4:45 p.m. Saturday to get something to eat. Her sister got a text from Monica's phone, but the message didn't contain Monica's usual abbreviations and acronyms, police said

She has a face book, none of her friends are talking about this on their face books that I can tell and if you type in her name on youtube a b/friend or ex made a video for her as well.

17 year old Monica Abriz disappeared while taking her lunch break from her job.

Her sister, Maria Ambriz, said they called the cell phone several times Saturday. She said eventually a man answered.

"Before he hanged up, he said he wasn't going to bring her back," said Ambriz.

"At 7:45 pm Saturday, not far from the grocery store, according to police Monica's mother saw a man she didn't recognize driving the family vehicle that Monica had driven to work. A few minutes later, her mother found the vehicle abandoned, with Monica's cell phone inside."

This situation sounds bad, but this article also claims friends have seen her since she left work.

Another fellow citizen of this planet, taken before their time.

RIP Monica. I'm so sorry that you don't have the chance to see your life unfold, as it should. :(

Where is the Nat'l Center getting its information on her passing? The above article does not identify the woman found, and the article concludes with this quote: "Clayton County police told Jones that right now there is no connection between Ambriz’s disappearance and the body."

Still holding out hope for this girl!

hmm it says in the article that there is no connection as of yet to Monica, but is says found deceased in the thread title. Is this Monica?

Praying for Monica!

I'm confused..is it Monica for sure?

Praying for you Monica, and your family.
