Tynesha's nickname is Ty.
Tynesha was a student at Texas A&M at the time of her disappearance. She was home for spring break when she vanished from Houston, Texas on March 15, 2007. Tynesha was last seen between 3:00 and 4:00 am at the apartment of her ex-boyfriend, Timothy Wayne Shepherd.
Shepherd initially said they got into an argument and Tynesha walked out of his apartment angrily with a cell phone. He later changed his story and confessed to her murder. Authorities believe he dismembered Tynesha and burned the parts before disposing of her in a dumpster. Physical evidence of murder was found in his apartment.
At his 2008 trial, Shepherd's attorneys argued that prosecutors could not prove Shepherd murdered Tynesha. In October 2008, he was convicted of her murder. Tynesha's remains have never been found. Foul play is suspected.
