Depositions Cancelled In Casey Case

Huh. Surprised? Not so much.

Strange that they waited until the last minute to cancel? and for both of them???

They've got deadlines to keep...I think Baez hasn't felt JPB's wrath, yet...:furious:

If they don't get in by the deadline (drop dead date), he's out of luck.

Maybe they feel the Grunds aren't able to add to the innocence of ICA...JMHO

When is the deadline? Isn't it like Friday or Saturday? Have they done Amy yet?????? Talk about waiting till the last moment.......

Also wondering why cancelled and not postponed? I think JB is definitely going to ask for more time on Friday. He may blame it on changes in attorneys. imo

But why on earth would they cancel JG's depo. I though that JG was a prime canidate (according to the A's) for the 'someone, anyone but KC' defense. :waitasec:

also will probably include money---since of course that mean awful LE/SA office has so much to burn.....all those attyn's and funding and all....give me a break---if he hadn't waited until this late date he this would have been done...I certainly hope HHJP reminds him of this along with "drop dead" date reply......he can't keep extending it out----:furious:

Yeah, it doesn't look like Jesse can do the defense any good, whatsoever. The only thing good he can say is that AT ONE TIME she seemed to be a different gal than the Casey we have in front of us and AT THAT TIME she was seemingly a very good mother. Everything else he has to say, from top to bottom would kill her case.IMO

Richard Grund details the very hostile relationship he was told about from Casey. The only thing that has always bothered me about Reverend Grund is his account of her telling him the long , detailed I have a new babysitter, her name is Zenaida, she babysits for a boy I know, his son, so now Caylee will have a playmate...over a year before this ever happened. If I were the defense I would have deposed him and got him pinned down to this a long time ago. It is the only person in her life ( outside of mom and pop) that had ever heard any sliver of that fanciful story, and the fact that it was sooo long before July 15th, is huge. Personally, I think he is simply remembering incorrectly, having a little revisionist history, confused by all of the various and sundry media stories on the matter. Who knows? JMO

I am pretty sure that by now the defense has had the come to Jesus epiphany that Casey has no friends who will testify on her behalf. Her own brother was working with the police (at least in the beginning), her would be long time best friend Ryan Paisly told Jose that he could be of NO help to their case, and Jose wouldn't want to hear his opinion. He added that Jose hung up on him. We all know where the Anthony's neighbors, Tony, Ricardo, Amy, etc stand. Clearly ever since, and likely before, Leonard and Rob Dick got in touch with of Reverend Grund and told him heads up...you better seriously look into this...they are trying to frame your son, they are going to blame this on your son...Reverend Grund and Jesse have been hip to Casey's defense team. It has been shameful! I'll never forget Richard Grund asking Jesse, why on earth do you think she showed up at your place that morning, scrubbed in sunshine, asking to take a shower when she had two or three other places to go, and why do you think she wanted YOU to help her with the gas cans when she was right across the street, on all three sides of gas stations? I also recall Jose in open court the defense announcing Jesse Grund, for all intents and purposes is a suspect in this case.

If, as and when these depositions do get rescheduled, they are not going to have a naive Roy Kronk who was fooled by please and thank yous. Can you just imagine if Baez and co. did this to your child?

Minister or not, hell hath no fury like a dad protecting his kid. Not in my world! If I were sitting on a civil jury for defamation, I would award Jesse , obscene , life changing amounts of money!!!

I wonder about a plea deal as well...first Baden, now these. Although if there were a plea deal would she have bothered quitting? Or maybe she quit so she would not have a plea deal on her hands. Hmmm

I don't know what argument Baez can use if he's going to try to get more extensions. It's been laid out pretty clearly for him.

Does anyone else feel like it's almost predetermined that Jose will go in and complain about LKB leaving, the money, etc and try to elicit sympathy from the judge? It seems like he's a one trick pony.
