PA - "Girls Gone Wild" Led Him To Child Pornography

A 56 year old Souderton man who was busted with child pornography can explain. "Girls Gone Wild" made him do it.

O.K. buddy and then? Well, explained Dale Childress he wanted to see what the girls looked like before that age.

Areyafr*kinkiddinme? Of all the excuses. Like ummmmmmm you were going to find the specific girls in that trash that creep put out when they were kids? In pornography?

So much more at link. Meanwhile the guy is free.

Along that same line, Filly, a man in Australia blamed sex offender treatment for his relapse--all those titillating stories told at the group sessions, you know:

They'll blame it on anything but themselves.

You ain't whistlin' Dixie, Izzy. The one constant factor. It's never their fault.

In this case I guess the guy in Souderton can sue Joe Francis. Although I think he's in prison. These people make up lies as bad as a heroin addict needing a get well bag for cripes sake.

what else is there to say but

no wonder these people are impossible to treat and reoffend at such a terrifying rate. they just REALLY dont see what the problem is at all, do they? I suspect even most murderers could tell you WHY what they did was wrong.

Wow, the Girls Gone Wild excuse has to be one of the more ridiculous things I've heard in recent memory. If one is purely interested in finding out what women's bodies look like prior to the age of eighteen, there are plenty of widely available and decidedly non-pornographic means of doing so.

For example, there are literally hundreds of anatomy, biology, and sexology textbooks which go into considerable detail regarding the physical changes female and male children undergo during pubescence. Many, if not the majority, of these textbooks contain illustrations. Furthermore, there are an even greater amount of websites that go into similar detail, and there are an immense amount of paintings and other pieces of artwork that showcase underage nudes.

While the United States is certainly more straight-laced about child and teen sexuality than the majority of other first world nations, we have certainly not reached a point so decidedly backwards that the only way to learn about the development of the female body is through illegal pornographic videos of young women being sexually assaulted by adults. That this man has, at least at the time of this writing, not been jailed is absolutely befuddling. It certainly implies that, at least to a certain extent, this horridly silly defense has worked to at least confound matters.

It sincerely frightens me that there are, and there are very obviously, people who are certain that the availability of pornography is somehow responsible for sexual crimes occurring against children. Any judge or jury that comes near someone using this type of defense should be sufficiently educated in just how obviously incorrect it is. Pornography has, in some shape or form, existed since the point wherein humankind learned to effectively communicate. There are many cave paintings that are clearly intended to be erotic, countless pieces of erotic literature that are thousands of years old, what must be thousands of oil paintings dating back to at least the fifteenth century, etc.

The difference between then and the current is that no one has, at least to my knowledge, begun blaming Song of Songs, The Venus of Urbino, or La Maja Desnuda for being the cause of sexual attacks on anyone. The people of these and future times would do very well to be aware of that.
