MANSFIELD — Police are searching for a 31-year-old mentally and physically challenged woman who left her residence at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and has not been heard from since.
Tiffany Demus is about 4-feet, 10-inches tall, has a short haircut and walks with a limp. She was last seen at her residence in the 500 block of Dover Park Trail wearing a flowered shirt, blue jeans and no shoes. Her right hand is permanently closed and she was not wearing her prescription eyeglasses.
Demus has been seen in the area of Matlock Road, Mansfield Webb Road, and East Debbie Lane in the Mansfield and south Arlington areas. It is critical that people call police if they come in contact with her because her mental capacity is such that she may not be able to tell people where she lives, police said.
A Texas Department of Public Safety helicopter, officers with the Arlington Police Department, a canine unit with Search One, a volunteer search and rescue organization in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and the Mansfield Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association are participating in the search, police said.
The Mansfield police are asking that anyone with information, call them at 817-473-0211.
