ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) — St. Louis police are investigating a shooting at a north St. Louis funeral home. It happened at the just before noon in the 3900 block of Washington Ave at the Reliable funeral home. Several people have been shot and homicide detectives have been requested.

A woman who answered the phone at Reliable Funeral Home said the shooting was outside while a funeral was going on. She said she didn't know if it was connected in some way to the funeral.

Murder during a funeral?? Good God, what is wrong with some people!??

I've heard different reports. Some media outlets are reporting the shooting was inside the funeral home, others are reporting it was outside the funeral home and may not be connected to the funeral inside.

Four people shot outside funeral home in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS • Chief Dan Isom said today's shooting of four people at a St. Louis funeral home is the product "of an ongoing feud between gangs in St. Louis."

Isom said conditions of the four victims are unknown.

The funeral, at Reliable Funeral Home, in the 3900 block of Washington Boulevard, was for homicide victim David Terell Davis Sr.

A woman who declined to give her name said she was attending the funeral when she heard loud gunshots.

"Everybody started running," she said.

The woman said she heard about eight shots outside the funeral home.

Isom said he's not sure if any shots were fired inside the funeral home.

What's wrong with some people? This is gang related. Today's gangs are amoral. Nothing or no one is sacred, including innocent children and by-standers. Give me the old mafia any day.

ST. LOUIS • Two mourners were killed and at least one other wounded today when gunfire erupted outside a funeral home.

As many as three gunmen opened fire Tuesday outside a funeral home during services for a murder victim, killing two people and critically wounding another before fleeing the scene, police said.

Witnesses told authorities that a fourth man was apparently shot in the leg during the shootings about noon Tuesday outside Reliable Funeral Home Chapel, Police Capt. Mike Sack said. However, that person still had not sought hospital treatment hours later and police hadn't been able to find him, Sack said.

Funeral home shooting may not be gang related

Police on Wednesday did an about-face and said the Reliable Funeral Home shootings may not be gang related, despite previous public statements from Chief Dan Isom.

"The Chief initially said at the scene that he thought it may be the result of feuding between two gangs but further investigation has not been able to support that," said Erica Van Ross, a spokeswoman for the deparment. "After learning that the parties may have initially become involved in an argument at the funeral, this appears to be, at this point at least, stemming from a personal dispute."

In high crime gang area's they need to bring in the National Guard and eradicate them.
