I'm so sorry, Ebony -- you did *not* deserve to die this way! Prayers for your family & prayers that justice is heaped upon whoever did this to you.

I posted this on the unidentified thread, before I had seen that she had been identified. I've asked a mod to move it, though I don't know to where.

Prayers for Ebony's family.

The father of a 17-year-old girl stabbed to death and sexually assaulted pleaded guilty to first degree murder Friday in connection with his daughter’s murder...

Prosecutors said McIntyre admitted that he had his daughter’s cell phone and threw it away. Authorities said McIntyre used the cellphone to send a text message to the victim’s mother saying: “Remember.the.*****.told.on.my.man.now.yoo.get.her.out.the.trash.”

A father who pleaded guilty to killing his 17-year-old daughter was sentenced to 40 years behind bars.

Rodney McIntyre, who was charged in May, was sentenced Friday in D.C. Superior Court. He earlier pleaded guilty to first degree murder. McIntyre worked for an after-school program at Meyer Elementary School.

Court documents state that Ebony Franklin was stabbed 15 times and her body left in a trash dumpster in Columbia Heights on Nov. 25, 2010. The documents stated that DNA from the victim’s father, McIntyre, 45, was found inside the victim.
