COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A former Columbus physician specializing in neonatology, Philip T. Nowicki, 58, pleaded guilty in United States District Court today to one count of possession of child *advertiser censored* after investigators found that he used a computer at the Columbus hospital where he worked to subscribe to an illegal international child *advertiser censored* website that gave him access to thousands of images and videos of child *advertiser censored*.
.................................................
At the plea hearing, an HSI agent testified that agents investigating an illegal international child *advertiser censored* website identified Nowicki as a subscriber to the website. In June 2006, agents searched a computer in his office and found that he had subscribed to the website from that computer and also that he had used an external media device with the computer in order to access files with names indicating that they were child *advertiser censored* videos.

Agents executed a search warrant at his Canal Winchester home in October 2006 and seized a personal computer that a forensic analysis found contained approximately 120 images of child *advertiser censored* in temporary internet files.

Nowicki's credit card records show that he paid $79.99 a month for three consecutive months in 2005 and 2006 to subscribe to the website.

This issue of doctors and child *advertiser censored* deserves its own category, IMO. It is literally shocking beyond belief how men (and women) will throw away their professional lives to pursue this sickening lust. Or is it the other way around? Have they always had that lust and thus, set up their careers to put them in the frontline of working with our children?

Hopefully, every single child who has been seen by this man will be carefully checked out. For their sake, his name needs to stay in the public eye.

He betrayed every co-worker at that hospital by subscribing to the *advertiser censored* on the hospital computer, IMO. I'm sure he also deeply hurt his family. What a horrid man.

Yes, indeed, it seems that he hurt his family. I cannot imagine the shame. But note that his wife still asked that he be sent home with her. Is it just me, or does it bother others that the man pleaded guilty to one count when there were actually 120 images? So which child is the "lucky" one--the one who gets the validation of a conviction?

Child *advertiser censored* will cost ex-doctor 27 months

"As his wife sobbed in the courtroom yesterday, former Columbus doctor Philip Nowicki was sent to prison for more than two years for possessing child *advertiser censored* that he himself said was "heinous."

"The Internet is a dangerous cesspool," Nowicki said as he stood before Judge Edmund A. Sargus Jr. in U.S. District Court. "I understand the government's position regarding child *advertiser censored* - it's heinous."

Nowicki, 58, pleaded guilty in December to one felony count of possession of child *advertiser censored* for having 120 sexually explicit images of children on a personal computer at his former home..."

and

"....During a 2006 investigation, federal agents searched computers that Nowicki used in his job as a neonatologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital Research Institute. Agents found that he had subscribed to a *advertiser censored* site through the hospital computer. Nowicki was not charged until November 2010 because investigators had trouble pulling information from his computers.

He surrendered his Ohio medical license in 2007 and eventually moved to Massachusetts. Nowicki had worked as a faculty member in Ohio State University's pediatric department from 1983 to 2008, and in the research institute from 2000 until his firing in 2006.

So, Judge Sargus had the opportunity to sentence him to ten years AND called this child *advertiser censored*, "the worst sort", but he's only sentenced to 27 months???? Is it because the doctor said all the right things? It's heinous....and all.

Neonates can't speak.
