I live across the river from Steubenville, Ohio (in Weirton, WV) and today is the first I've heard of Kayla Schroeder. A friend on Facebook 'liked' the 'Please help Find Kayla Schroeder', which is how I heard. I've NEVER heard her mentioned on the local news...sad. Of course the Steubenville news focuses on the 'great' work of the local police department (the same police department that surrounded an Amish school with a swat team), but seems like both dropped the ball on this story.I'm sooo tired, I don't know what to do...

Can anyone tell me why the local LE won't investigate and why the local news won't cover this story? Apparently she was a dancer, but that is no excuse for them to drop the ball. This story should be receiving more publicity.I'm sooo tired, I don't know what to do...

How has this not gotten any press? So frustrating.“Justice cannot be for one side alone, but must be for both.” - Eleanor Roosevelt

I sent a message to a reporter at the TV station asking them why they weren't covering it and was told that there was no story because they believed she left on her own (how did they know that?). I think they refused to cover the story because #1, she was a 'dancer' and #2, local LE told them not to cover it (because of reason #1).I'm sooo tired, I don't know what to do...

And just so you all know, WTRF is located in Wheeling, WV. WTOV - News 9 is in Steubenville, OH. WTRF did cover the story when it happened, but the local news, WTOV, would not touch it until much later.I'm sooo tired, I don't know what to do...
