Body of Missing Woman Found in McCracken Co.

Dec. 12, 2010

PADUCAH, KY - The body of missing McCracken County woman was found Saturday afternoon off Wimington Road in what Sheriff Jon Hayden considers a murder case.

The family of 21-year-old Casandra Evrard reported her missing Friday after she failed to show up for work Friday. The Lone Oak resident was last seen at a home in the 7400 block of Ogden Landing Road.

After a search Saturday afternoon which included members of the Department of Emergency Services personnel, Hayden found the body near the creek off Wilmington Road.

Investigators believe Evrard died Friday afternoon. A search warrant has been issued for the address where she was last seen on Friday. An autopsy is planned on her body Sunday.

Hayden said a search warrant was issued for the Ogden Landing Road address where Evrard was last seen.

Anyone with any information about what may have happened to her or who saw Evrard over the last few days is asked to call the sheriff’s office.

From January 2013:

http://www.westkentuckystar.com/New...y/Mark-Taylor-Found-Guilty-on-All-Counts.aspx

Mark Taylor has been sentenced to two life sentences without parole for the kidnapping and murder of 21-year-old CaSondra Evrard... On Thursday, the jury of two men and ten women deliberated for about 8 hours Thursday before convicting Taylor.

Taylor's wife, Jamie, was a key witness after she entered a guilty plea and then testified for the prosecution. She told the jury that Mark said he "stuck her like a pig" after the couple and their daughter Jasmine allegedly tortured Evrard in their bathtub on December 10, forcing her to admit that she arranged to have three men rape Jasmine at a party during the previous week.

The men Jasmine accused testified that they hardly knew Evrard, that they never touched Jasmine, and that all the men at the party were gay. Jasmine spent five days in a mental facility before telling her parents she was raped.
