Joseph Jones said his newlywed wife, Nicole Tessa, 31, was last seen late Friday after the two of them had an argument.

Suffolk County police declined to detail their investigation. A canine search team was seen scouring the area near the home on Prince Street early Tuesday and investigators were also seen leaving the home before noon.

Jones, 28, told Newsday that he and Tessa had been married four months and both were unemployed. Police said Tessa is a student at Branford Hall Career Institute in Bohemia, where she is studying nursing.

Why is it everytime there is an argument, the hubby leaves and then returns to find his wife missing? :furious:

(12/22/10) PATCHOGUE - Suffolk police today announced that they have ruled the death of a Patchogue mother whose body was found yesterday a homicide. The body of 31-year-old Nicole Tessa, who was last seen alive Dec. 17, was found in the woods near her Prince Street home.
Officials say K-9 Section Officer John Mallia and his dog "Blue" were searching the woods a quarter of a mile from Tessa's home when the mother of four's body was found.
Tessa's husband, Joseph Jones, says they had an argument, he left, and when he came back later, she was gone.
Some neighbors have said they heard the couple fighting often. Police say Jones is cooperating with them and has not been named a suspect at this time. Police also have not released the exact cause of death, pending an autopsy.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the case to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS

*Snipped from article*

Jones had told reporters earlier Tuesday that the couple had an argument Friday night.
He said he left their home at about 11:30 p.m. and came back at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, but that she was gone.
He reported her missing Sunday, police said. Jones also said that his wife has disappeared before after spats, but that she had always returned.
In fact, he said, Tessa, 31, left for two weeks after the couple had an argument in November, and that she stayed with a friend in Coram. He said he contacted police this time because Tessa left without her anti-seizure medicine and her cell phone.

he looks strung out, too. Just sayin'...

I wonder if they will get a search warrant soon. They have to search the house and his car.

He said I can barely sleep, and I cannot eat. IMO he knows its just a matter of time. :behindbar
