The female body was found by two hikers in a desert area in wash, said Metro Police spokesman Jay Rivera. The hikers, a man and his girlfriend, called police at 11:38 a.m. and told police that the body appeared to have been burned, Rivera said.

A subsequent article indicates that it is not Deborah Flores Narvaez

This article also adds that the body was found near Kingman Wash, about a mile from the O'Callaghan-Tillman Bridge

Although the body has been identified by Clark County and Mohave County coroner officials, the person's identity hasn't been made public.<snipped>

Is anyone besides me questioning Fox's reporting of these charred remains being identified as someone other than the person who has been ruled out? (I'm not questioning Kimster :) )

I can not find another MSM article outside of the one from Fox that these remains have actually been id'd. With as much inaccurate or contradictory reporting as we sleuths see at WS I'm wondering if this is misinfo - especially since the Fox news article is not directly quoting any ME or LE official stating the remains were id'd.

Has anyone found another MSM article stating the remains were in deed officially id'd as someone else in such a short time?

Apparently so, but LE's being close to the vest on this one. The only clue is that "they" now have some answers.

"It's good news, but at the same time unfortunately, to the other woman's family, my heart just goes out to them," she said. "You know, I feel as though they've got some answers, but now they have to find out who did this to that poor woman."

On MSM media: I totally agree. I have my own list (encompassing the news "rewriters" who basically steal from other sources, and write sensationalized articles on a pay-per-click basis), and refuse to credit them with anything.

I'm going to update this jane as being id'd. We don't always get a name release in the media which is ok..... if it turns out the MSM is inaccurate we can always move the thread back.

A woman found dead Dec. 23 near the Kingman Wash access road south of Hoover Dam was allegedly kidnapped and killed over money by two employees who worked for her escort business in Las Vegas, according to a police report released Monday.

The coroner hasn't released her name, but the police report identifies her as 39-year-old Young Park.

The arrested men (employees, we learn) are Min Soon Chang, 30 and Keon Kyun Park, 19.

Speculation: could she have been the mother of the younger man? I realize that Park is a very common Korean name.
This also makes me even more curious about a connection between Park's death and the murder of Michele Carson, whose body was found in a burned car, a few miles south of Las Vegas.

From August 2014:

A 22-year-old man on Friday was sentenced to life without parole for killing his brothel boss in December 2010.

Keon Park pleaded guilty in May to first-degree murder, kidnapping, robbery and other charges for killing Young Park...

Keon Park’s co-defendant Min Soon Chang, 33, still faces murder and kidnapping charges in the case. If convicted, Chang could face the death penalty.
