Police Trying To Determine If Burned Body Is That Of Missing Boy
By: FortBendNow Staff on Tue, Dec 28, 2010
Houston Police investigators are awaiting the results of a forensic examination of a badly-burned body found in a ditch early this morning to see if it is the body of missing 12-year-old Jonathan Foster.
The body was believed to be that of a child about 3-feet tall, but was so badly burned the gender could not be immediately determined. The area around the body was not burned, leading to the theory the victim was burned elsewhere and dumped in the ditch.

Angela Davis called the land line where she and Jonathan live, and a woman with a gruff voice answered, Harris said. Jonathan’s mother asked for her roommate, and the woman said the roommate wasn’t there.
"Then Angela says, ‘Well, this is Angela, I’m Jonathan’s mother. Who are you?’" Harris said. "And the woman is heard saying, ‘Is Angela your mother?’ And the boy replies, ‘Yes ma’am, Angela’s my mother.’ And then the phone went dead."

A car, belonging to Foster's stepdad, searched and then towed from his apartment complex. He was the last person to have reportedly seen the missing child. Investigators are questioning the stepdad and the boy's mother.
Along the tollway, where the badly burned body was dumped, a surveillance camera on a nearby business has already yielded what police have called significant information.
