Jonathan Foster, age 12, was last seen in the area of N. Shepherd & 43rd on December 24, 2010 @ about 1:45 p.m. Jonathan has a very visible overbite. He was last known to be wearing a tan colored t-shirt with musical notes and a guitar printed on it. He was also wearing blue jeans and black & white tennis shoes with a red stripe. Jonathan has strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. He is 4'7" tall and weighs about 85 pounds.

Search for missing 12 year old boy grows more desperate
The search for a missing 12-year-old Houston boy grew more desperate Monday afternoon as volunteers combed the woods near train tracks in a northwest Houston neighborhood.
An Amber Alert was issued Monday evening for Jonathon Foster, who vanished from his Garden Oaks home sometime on Christmas Eve.
"Please hold on, because we’re doing the best to find you," said Mary Gifford, the missing boy’s grandmother.

Houston authorities looking for boy
Police this evening issued an Amber Alert for a 12-year-old boy who disappeared on Christmas Eve.
Jonathan Foster was last seen about 1:45 p.m. Friday at the Villa Nueva Apartments, in the 800 block of Oak. He lives there with his mother and stepfather.
The boy, who has a visible overbite, was wearing blue jeans, white sneakers with a red stripe, a tan T-shirt with a guitar printed on it, and zip-up gray hoodie-type jacket. Details about how and when Jonathan went missing were not immediately available.

Amber Alert issued for missing boy
Police said that he might be in the company of an adult woman with a raspy voice.
Jonathan's mother said he had been staying at a baby sitter's home a few doors down from where the family lived. He went home to get a video game but never returned to the baby sitter's home.
"He was supposed to run home, go get it and go back to the baby sitter's," mother Angela Davis said.

Investigators waited three days to issue an Amber Alert following the disappearance of a 12-year-old boy because of conflicting stories from the boy’s parents, police said Tuesday.

Vigil held for missing boy; police question parents
About 100 people congregated at Garden Oaks Baptist Church for a vigil for Jonathan Foster.
He has been missing since Christmas Eve. Houston police said they believe he was kidnapped. He was last seen at his home next door to the Villanueva Apartments in the 800 block of Oak Street.
An Amber Alert was issued on Monday.
"I just got to hold onto that faith, that belief, and not give up and keep faithful," said Mary Gifford, Jonathan's grandmother.

New developments are expected today in the case of a 12-year-old boy missing since Christmas Eve. Sources tell Eyewitness News that remains found yesterday are that of Jonathan Foster.
The medical examiner this morning is expected to confirm that some burned remains found yesterday are that of 12-year-old Jonathan Foster.
Jonathan was last seen Friday afternoon at the north Houston apartment complex where he lives with his mother and stepfather.
Houston police are still waiting for official identification from the Medical Examiner's Office, but we're told investigators are proceeding as if the body found earlier today is that of Jonathan Foster.

Woman to be charged in 12 year olds disappearance
A woman is expected to be charged Wednesday in connection with the disappearance of 12-year-old Justin Foster, police sources said.
The woman, who is not a relative of the boy, was taken into custody Wednesday morning.
Police sources said she was not being cooperative with the investigation, but detectives have collected a considerable amount of evidence linking her to the boy’s disappearance.

Hopes for the safe recovery of 12-year-old Jonathan Foster, missing since Christmas Eve, continued to dim Tuesday, with detectives privately saying they believe the burned body found in a ditch near the Hardy Toll Road was, in fact, that of the boy.

A close family friend has been arrested and is expected to be charged with the kidnapping and murder of 12-year-old Jonathan Foster, a police source close to the investigation said today.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was arrested this morning at her home, the source said.

We have new details about the arrest of a woman accused of killing a 12-year-old Houston boy.
A judge in probable cause court heard the case against Mona Nelson, 44, this morning. She's accused of killing fifth-grader Jonathan Foster, who disappeared on Christmas Eve. Nelson wasn't present this morning due to an unspecified medical issue.
According to court documents, Jonathan's mother had received a mysterious phone call from her residence from a female who made threatening remarks towards her son. Police say they connected Nelson to the crime after a witness observed a female arriving at the residence in a gray or silver pickup about the same time those threatening calls were made.

Slain boys family has record with CPS
Child Protective Services officials said Thursday that the family of a 12-year-old boy who police said was kidnapped and killed on Christmas Eve has a record with them.
Officials said that in December 2005 there was an allegation of neglected supervision and physical abuse of Jonathan and his half sister when they were living in Galveston County. When CPS went to investigate the claims, both children were living with other relatives and the case was closed.
In Houston in December 2006, there was a second allegation of neglect, physical abuse and medical neglect of both Jonathan and his half sister, officials said. The case was closed because Jonathan had moved to his uncle's home out of state and his half sister was living with her grandmother.

Mona Nelson: Says she is not a monster
Investigators don't believe Nelson's story. Jonathan's body wasn't found in a plastic container. Police believe Nelson acted on her own and that Jonathan was killed on Christmas Eve, the same day he disappeared.
Nelson is a former boxer who currently works as a maintenance worker and a welder.
She boxed professionally in 2004, winning one match and losing three. During her brief stint as a boxer, she was suspended for 30 days by the Association of Boxing Commissions. The record does not state why Nelson was suspended.

Funeral set for slain boy
The body of a murdered 12-year-old boy will be laid to rest in Pearland.
A funeral for Jonathan Foster will be held in Garden Oaks Baptist Church in the 3200 block of North Shepard at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 4.
Visitation will occur earlier beginning at 10 a.m. Foster will be buried at South Park Cemetery in Pearland.

12/27/10 Video of mother stating she came home and unlocked the door and calling Jonathan. This video still indicates leaving the house and going for video. Also includes "he's a pest". No mention of DD stating he was at the house at 1:45 PM.
