Distracted Driver Ordinance In Detroit Suburb

I can't believe this would even become a law. Two eyes on the road and two hands on the wheel. Isn't this how we got our license. What makes kids or adults think that it would change with technology? Just like no drinking and driving, two eyes on the road and two hands on the wheel still apply.

I drive one-handed all the time. Like lots of people with stick shifts; it's a habit. Conversation is the most distracting thing to me while driving, even if I'm using a hands-free device.

Here's an excerpt from the email that my DH sent earlier today:

"...Please don't call after 5:45 when I'll be in Troy and don't want to be a distracted driver..."

Glad we don't live in Troy any more.
