FWIW, here's the dental chart on this Jane Doe.
UP391 Dental Chart.JPG
* Her upper wisdom teeth (1 & 16) were removed, but the lowers (17 & 32) were still there and impacted.
* No fillings in her upper teeth (though she had cavities in 3 of the 4 remaining upper molars)
* She had fillings in both lower first-molars (19 & 30), and cavities in both lower second-molars (18 & 31).
That would rule-out Carolyn Bealer, as she had two upper-front false teeth.
It would also rule-out O'Dina Lucero, as she supposedly had a capped canine tooth.

Only one ruleout: Laurie Smith (https://identifyus.org/cases/391)
Was Mary Gregory ever submitted? Yes, dentals are a reliable way to make an ID.
(And a hint for people bumping threads: it's good to bump, but it's even better if you can check for ruleouts and updates, or do a quick google for news updates, or even make a comment. It's kind of annoying to see a thread move up, think, "Oh there's news!:" and then find just a "bump.")Opinions expressed are strictly my own (who else would they belong to???)

Just a couple of thoughts:
At that time in October it would just be cooling off after months of hot! IMO, date of death could have been more recent than January.
The location of the remains indicates to me that whomever placed the body was going northbound on I-15.
The Apex is near Nellis AFB. It's built up quite a bit in recent years but in 1979 it would have been pretty barren. Here's a pic:
There's a huge amount of traffic (and tons of big rigs) on I-15 between California and Utah.
