computer expert filmed women with cameras inside toilet bowl

A WELSH Ministry of Defence computer expert is facing jail for secretly filming women on the toilet.

And Mark Haddock, 40, has become one of the first people to go to court under a new law to tackle voyeurs.

Haddock used his in-depth knowledge of sophisticated electronics to install tiny cameras into the bowl of a lavatory.

Then over two years he built up a catalogue of pictures to satisfy his bizarre fetish.

Yesterday at Swansea Crown Court, Haddock, who is married, admitted two offences of using a covert camera for sexual gratification, a new offence under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 which came into force last May.

Haddock, of Bryngwyn Hall, New Inn, Pencader, Carmarthenshire, a specialist at the Ministry of Defence's storage distribution agency in West Wales, pleaded guilty to using the hidden camera and recording equipment on a number of occasions.

Sentencing was adjourned until October 15 so a psychiatrist could examine Haddock.

The court was told further investigations were going on which "may or may not" lead to further charges.

Kevin Riordan, prosecuting, said yesterday that police recovered a total of nine computers used by Haddock and

350 floppy discs and CD-Roms containing photographs. Officers were still working their way through the material.

Haddock's barrister, David Blake, said he was anxious to know what sentence he would receive.

He said, "These are not the usual acts that are dealt with here and the court would be helped by some specialist input."

Judge Michael Burr agreed to adjourn sentencing Haddock until October 15 for the psychiatric assessment to be compiled.

Magistrates at an initial court hearing in Carmarthen were told Haddock had a fetish for watching females use the toilet since he was 17.

    talk about causing paranoia

now I will be looking into all the toilet bowls when I have to go to the bathroom away from home! I was already checking out the walls and other things looking for a camera.
Just when I think that I have seen the most depraved things a human can do to another human, somebody posts a new story...........

Why is it that when a custodial parent fails to provide for a child it is called neglect and is a criminal matter. But when a non custodial parent fails to provide it is called failure to support and is a civil matter?

Hey, I'm Welsh!!!! My maiden name had way too many consonants in it! I can't imagine this sort of thing. Now if it was sheep, that is a different story entirely! That would be interesting to see.
