"Police talked to Muringer again last Thursday and Friday, and he eventually confessed to pressing his hand to Lopez's throat during sex until she lost consciousness, police said. Muringer told detectives it was not the first time Lopez had lost consciousness during sex, but this last time angered him, and he pushed her off the bed."

"Police might not have linked Muringer to the gruesome scene so soon, if at all, had it not been for a cell phone receipt they found inside the Kia."

The drug deal gone bad just might be a partial truth-- the deal being the drugs in his own system. That could help explain how a human could do something like this, at least.

Another criminal mastermind. Leaving behind a receipt with his name on it. What a genius.

So she 'loses consciousness' when she has sex with him, and that's HER fault?
Not buying it.

Right? Isn't that he was aiming for?

That guy has a criminal record as long as anything. He has to go taint this poor woman's name?

He couldn't tell the truth to save his life I bet. Speaking of life........he better do it.

From December 2012:

Muringer, formerly of Lake Worth, was found guilty of two misdemeanor crimes: culpable negligence and unlawful disposal of human remains...

Jurors Monday told Circuit Judge Charles Burton they were split 4-2 on the prosecutors' request for a felony manslaughter conviction after a weeklong trial.

After further deliberations they agreed on the lesser charge signifying Muringer bore some responsibility for his former lover's death in October 2010. The convictions are each punishable by 60 days in jail, but Muringer served that time already since he was locked up after his January 2011 arrest.
