Hailey Dunn Searchers Ask for Your Help
Monday, February 07 2011

Those searching for Hailey Dunn on a regular basis are posing a challenge to Big Country residents – asking for 10 people from each town to assist with searches on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Two national missing child search organizations came to Colorado City in January to train volunteer searchers on the proper way to conduct and document searches.

The searches are conducted on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until dark. Feb. 9's search will begin at the Colorado Civic Center, 157 W. 2nd St. All subsequent searches will be headquartered from Walnut Street between 1st and 2nd Streets in Colorado City.

"Right now we are asking for anyone with ATV, horseback and of course just people own two feet to come out and help," Lloyd said. "Food and drinks are provided."

This is one strange case, with seemingly all-volunteer searches in past several weeks, and none by LE, at least that we know of. Is LE just using these bodies and directing the searches, at least?
How different from so many cases when volunteers have been practically forbidden.

Two national missing child search organizations are returning to Colorado City next week for a two-day search next week in the hopes of finding Hailey Dunn, who has been missing since Dec. 27.

The Laura Recovery Center and KlaasKids came to help organize community searches last month and will do the same on Feb. 19 and 20.

Brad Dennis with KlaasKids said they are bringing K-9 teams and search teams in, and that they will spend Friday, Feb. 18 organizing the weekend search. They will need time to figure out what areas have been searched since the two groups left and come up with a game plan for the weekend.

Will their be cadaver dogs?

I posted a new thread about Klass kids and Laura recovery coming back to help.. if it needs to be in this thread instead of it's own let me know...
I am real stupid at trying to navigate all these different threads

I have asked this question repeatedly and have not received an answer. Does anyone know? Maybe the media could ask LE this question.

Posted on the Media Links thread as well:

Volunteer Searchers Scour Creek in Scurry County

This weekend, searchers took to the water for the first time, using a small boat to search a creek in Dunn. <snip>

"We got some tips from several people that concern this creek," volunteer Freda Radcliff said.

God bless these devoted searchers. Without them I dont feel there is hope Hailey will be found.

Does anyone know if any area south of C-City has been searched. I am going to be in C-City this weekend and plan on spot checking South on 208 to FM 2319 then back to FM 608.

Thought I would bump this one up...there seems to be NO WORD on today's search and very little on the organized Friday and Saturday searches, in general, in MSM.

This also seems to have some information that might be helpful to the hardworking posters in the SAR thread as it has some of the earlier search information.

Anyone hear if they searched today...planning on searching tomorrow still? I haven't seen a thing...hopefully I just missed it.

thanks everyoneneeds... any help locals/searchers can provide on specific areas searched would be greatly appreciated down in the SAR thread

Thought I would post over here, In hopes of locals reading-

I 've been looking at all that poi(s?) have been saying since Dec. and reading everything with this case.
Someone has a real problem with Ugly, dirt, ground... among other unsavory things. Not sure if is a psychological reference to a horrible act and a desire to cover it up, or reference to a physical location. Hints if you will.
At first I thought the location of Hailey might be a 'pretty' place- the opposite of what has been spoken but I am now convinced that where ever it is, will be a place often overlooked because it IS ugly...
as a general rule, IMO, our eye is drawn to beauty/pretty/scenic...we want to dwell on it and enjoy it as long as possible. When faced with 'ugly' we turn our head, walk a little faster, avoid at all costs...

so for all my musing on this...I would like to ask if any locals can try to recall the most tush ugly places they have ever seen or heard about ...in Scurry, Mitchell, Nolan, or Borden counties.
Road names, area, creek name, anything you can provide for location.

Let's find Hailey
Thank you.
