CO - Chester Leroy Todd -Denver-Possible Serial Killer
He has been a fugitive since 1996 wanted for the beating and strangulation of Sherri Majors, 27-years-old. And he has a criminal record according to the article. I just wonder if he can be linked to some cold cases.
In 2006, the FBI released a bulletin naming Todd as a suspect in a series of killings and rapes of prostitutes at truck stops across the country.
Todd is already a convicted killer. A jury found him guilty of murder in 1967 in Illinois for the shotgun slaying of a man, and he was sentenced to 30 to 50 years. He was released from prison after 15 years.
Illinois used to be notorious for letting the prisoners out early on 'good time behavior' for murder!

I see in some of the articles, he's now VERY ill and in need of constant care.
Police: Suspect in Colorado slayings not linked to any Las Vegas murders
Hanna said detectives interviewed Todd shortly after his arrest. They learned Todd had been "virtually homeless" in Las Vegas for years and lived under a false identity, he said.
It's unlikely Todd was involved in any Las Vegas homicides, though several prostitutes disappeared in the Las Vegas area from 2003 to 2006, and their bodies were later found along major highways. Those cases remain open.
"There's absolutely no reason to believe at this point he (Todd) was involved in any type of series," Hanna said. "The last time he drove a truck was in '96."

I am wondering if he could be linked to the other states listed in the FBI bulletin? I guess the Las Vegas Detective has ruled him out in their investigations.
This article talks about states other than Nevada, plus he abandoned his truck in Iowa.
In 2006, the FBI's Violent Criminal Apprehension Program issued a bulletin saying the agency was compiling a list of suspects in a series of rapes and murders of prostitutes who frequented truck stops in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Indiana and Pennsylvania.
Todd was the only one named as a suspect in the crimes.

Oh but Todd was involved with the slayings of in vegas, whether this detective hanna believes or not. Todd lived in 14 years after he killed majors wouldn't that bring some kind of suspecting whether he had a car, truck or walking. I still believe that he had something to do with Jessie Foster.
