While it saves the Sheriff's Office money, Sheriff Ed McMahon says he didn't expect to see how much it would affect the inmates - for the better.

Instead of sitting in their cells or watching TV, painting has proved to be enough exercise and engagement to raise the moral of the entire crew.



I think I love this Sheriff! He rocks!:rocker: I wish Sheriffs across the country would follow his lead. MOO

Love the idea -- it would be a positive step to give inmates something to do.

What made me chuckle though was the ''typo'' in the article - I am thinking that the reporter could use some coaching.

LOL! I had a chuckle over that one too!
